Marshalltown 88 Brick Tongs

Very easy working with this. Well made and built for purpose. Shifting concrete blocks is as easy as pie and layin on is a cinch.

For a Marshalltown product this is extremely poor, I wouldn't of expected this poor quality on the cheapest of brands and surprised it's even allowed to be sold, I'm sure this hasn't past any safety test for lifting products, is appalling and I am not going to risk trying to use it. The very small coach bolt which hold the sliding arms together on this Marshalltown lifter; this is the one that you would use to alter the length on the pre drilled holes is extremely poor, I am surprised it was even allowed to pass any safety test along with being allowed to be sent out to me. The bolt isn't long enough, there is one whole clear thread turn to try and screw the small wing nut on, which is also bent, the coach bolt square won't even fit through any of the square holes which are positioned along the frame. Then we get to the handle, it has sharp edges underneath and would need filing/grinding down then would need some type of tape otherwise you would loose grip. I am not going to try this as it would probably fall apart and end up dropping bricks when the bolt fall out. Very poor and I hope the seller sort this out before someone gets hurt! I would recommend a faithful lifter/tongs instead, which I have since purchased and seem so much better quality than this brand.

Goods returned to supplier due to poor quality. One of the brick tongs has started to pull away from the joints on the first day of use.

Produit acheté pour la pose de pavés de granit de 30 Kg pièce, cette pince a l'air de résister on verra à l'usage lorsque j'aurais posé les 800 pavés en attente.

It's a must tool to have if you do any stones projects, mind the size it can manage ( the smallest 15-16" & the largest around 24-25"). And for sure I recommend.

Used for putting down 16x24 patio stones, worked fantastic and saved my hands, made placing without sliding pavers in the sand super easy! Will also allow for easy removal/replacement down the line, can grab stones out of the middle of the patio no problem.
