I use this to feed my broiler chickens in a John Suscovich chicken tractor and I am very happy with how it is performing! It holds about 4 full scoops of feed (2-4 lbs?) ans thus far has kept my birds well fed throughout the day. The best part? It reduces feed waste to almost nothing!!! The anti-roost bar 100% works to keep them off the feeder so no droppings in the feed. I have 30 birds eating from this one feeder and have no issues yet.I hung mine from the roof of my chicken tractor. I simply tied paracord to the top holes (the highest position of the roosting bar) and find it works very effectively in this configuration.

I bought this for my cornish cross chicken tractor and it works great! I have a scoop which makes it super easy to put the food inside. Overall I'm happy with this product.

I bought this to reduce waste.The birds do not want to eat from it. Note that the reel top is NOT a cylindrical bar. It looks very uncomfortable for them to eat. They hit the bar when they stick their faces in to eat and that makes it spin and smack another bird trying to eat....If the bar was round I think it would work better. I wrote and asked them a question bit no one got back to me. I ended up taking the bar off and thereby grossly overpaying for a flimsy aluminum trough. ...And you know what? i was looking forward to splurging on this item... such a disappointment.

I ordered two of these several months ago for my pastured chickens. They work great. The ends are kind of thin, so every once in a while they will flex out and the perch guard will slip out of the hole, but it's easy to fix and doesn't happen very often. I'm sure it's because of the way I have to hold them on one end while I put them into the chicken tractors. If you have the type of operation where you can just set them down and don't have to move them, I'm sure this would never happen.

Good packaging, came as expected, no real assembly needed.
