## Description

Sakura sumogrip premium eraser Series features new microporous foam technology to remove graphite marks from paper surfaces for artists, students and architects. Sumogrip premium erasers are composed of microporous cells that constructed like a net that picks up graphite marks and erases better across the surface. Reticulated open-cell foam works like ultra-fine sandpaper to get into small grooves and pits of the paper surface. Combining our existing Sakura foam W eraser with a firmer hybrid-matrix formula, the sumogrip eraser requires minimum pressure to remove graphite lead. The sumogrip eraser vastly improves the pick-up of micro-graphite particles from paper substrates that white PVC erases leave behind. B80 (2.125 x 0.875 size features three erasers on a blister card.

When you homeschool young boys, you get to see the carnage of a penciled mistake in the student workbooks. With pink erasers, and white erasers, and basically every other style of eraser, you get an attempt from the kiddo - sort of - to erase a mistake, and hope it didn't destroy the work page in the process. You also get teeny tiny pieces of eraser dust - everywhere. That gritty stuff sinks into carpets or just sits there on the desk or in the pencil area until someone comes along to clean it. Add to that, what was supposed to correct a mistake by erasing completely, barely faded it with the half hearted attempts from a young kid to get on with finishing the work. What's left behind bleeds through to the correction making the entire thing an illegible mess. I stared at these a long time, digging in my heels like a sullen kid, just KNOWING that the claims made here were all hype and clever marketing. Equate this eraser with broccoli - you may not love it, but it's really good for you. Pros: - Less mess. The strings are longer and easier to gather up. - You stand a much better chance of fully erasing. The others still show pencil lines. - These last a long time with heavy use. The B80 size is perfect for a grammar school age kid. - Less pressure needed to erase = less damage to the paper. Significantly less. This cannot be overstated. - Seems to "smudge" less than others used. - Kids seem to recognize their value and seem to want to take care of them - they actually keep them off the floor and away from the dog, who is always looking to snatch up a random pencil or eraser. - Work just as well for colored pencils too. Cons: - Maybe "slightly" more expensive than a standard eraser, but it seems to be in a very small degree. Considering the significant improvement over it's primary job - "erasing" - it actually is worth the extra dime/quarter per eraser. This item in the 3 pack is about $4 total - It's cheap enough to test out without feeling like you are destroying the school budget. You won't go backwards or reach for Papermate/Pentel brand again, no matter how many they sell in bulk. You just won't.

Honestly, this is by far the best block eraser I have ever used. Until I got the SumoGrip Block Eraser, I thought all erasers were just the same! I will say that I feel this will get used up faster, but I think it erases cleaner than old-school block erasers.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THE BEST ERASER I'VE EVER HAD

TL;DR - Buy more of these erasers than you think you need because they're perfect and you'll use them for everything. These erasers are nearly perfect. They clump incredibly so there's minimal eraser left overs, they're dark so they don't get visibly dirty, they have a little sumo guy on the cover, and they completely DESTROY pencil on paper. You could pencil over the same spot for an hour, and these erasers would still make a completely clean line through the spot you erased. Okay, maybe not THAT strong of an eraser, but I've rarely ever had to go over a heavily pencilled spot more than twice with a proper amount of pressure. Speaking of pressure, these erasers barely require any of it! Seamless erasing with barely any effort. Not to mention that these have barely ripped papers I erase on, even when I'm going ham with all my might just to see how big of an eraser shaving clump I can make. If I have one thing to say about these, is that you HAVE to buy more than you intend to use, because they will be gone faster than you think, not because they have bad longevity, in fact, they have incredible longevity because they're so efficient. You have to buy more because you'll just use them more than you'd use your run of the mill Walmart eraser. You'll be turning to these for nearly anything, including things that don't need erasing. I don't know how, but they're just fun to use with how efficient they are. They even work decently at erasing colored pencil, but I haven't experimented much because I don't use colored pencils.
