I have been taking this for about 6/7 months now. I wasn't sure that it would help with the heat flashes and sweating but it really does. It took me about a month before I started to see a change. My night flashes got much better, almost gone and the day flashes only last a minute or two and are then gone. I have been able to get much better sleep. I am very sensitive to medication so I don't want to take any kind of sleeping aid. Luckily I don't have to with these.I have traveled and forgotten them, BIG mistake. After about 4 or 5 days I noticed how bad I was getting again. Started them as soon as I got home and after 2 or 3 days and they kicked in again.These have helped sooooo much. Thank you for making this product!

I feel so much better since I began taking Femmenessence. I have more energy. I sleep better and I feel mentally balanced. I even danced a little in my bedroom to some music. I did it because I felt like it. It's really been years since I had that feeling. I could no longer multitask. I could only focus on one thing at a time. I found myself doing a second thing since taking this, so I am excited to see how much more I improve by using this.I somehow discontinued taking this for the last year and a half. About a month ago I had an abnormal EKG. About every 4th to 17th beat my heart would miss a beat. I was feeling ill and kept having episodes and it was difficult to do my job. I thought I was going to have to quit and I love my job as a flight attendant flying all over the world. I set up the appointment with the cardiologist. Then I started researching the heart problem and the abnormal beating. I was looking for a natural healing. It lead me to balancing my hormones with this MacaPause. I took one capsule at night 4 days ago and the next morning for the first time in more than a year I felt incredibly normal. All day long I checked my pulse. It was regular. My heart was not missing any beats. Today is the 4th day of MacaPause for me. My heartbeat is still regular. I feel human again and have my old energy back, my drive, my motivation. I am so excited that I will still be able to fly a few more years it seems like. And yes, I will keep that appointment with the cardiologist just to make sure I am heart healthy. A new EKG may tell a new story of a steady heartbeat. I look 53 but am actually 73 and feel 47 again!I don't know if this will work for anyone else but it gave me back my fantastic life.

While I think this is a good quality supplement, and did give me energy, it also made me hungry, so that's not a good tradeoff. Nothing that makes me hungry is anything I'll ever buy again, so this product was a no-go for me.I originally got these for my mom who is post-menopause and because of breast cancer, can't take PremPro anymore. My mom hasn't really noticed anything while taking them, but then again, my mom has taken so many different natural menopause supplements and never noticed anything with any of them. She loved Prempro and was heartbroken when her doctor refused to give it to her anymore because she got breast cancer. According to her, none of the natural stuff has really worked for her. I was hoping this would be different, but it wasn't :(I just tried it because my body weight is so low that I don't get periods so I figured it might be good for me. The doctor tried to give me some nasty chemical hormones which had listed side effects such as weight gain, acne, edema, hair loss, depression, etc., so I threw those nasty things in the trash without even opening the bottle. I'd never even consider a medication that could give me side effects like those. So I thought I'd try something natural - and these did give me a sense of well-being and good, smooth, non-jittery energy without any crash afterwards. But I noticed that I also wanted to eat more after I took them so I quit. For me, nothing is worth being hungry or gaining weight for, no matter what possible positive effects it could have.I'm giving 3 stars because it didn't do anything bad to either one of us, except for the hunger thing, and to me, it felt like it had some really good qualities. It might not increase everyone's appetite, that could've been just me, and the energy and sense of well-being it produced was positive.Hormonal supplements can be different for everyone, so I suggest that people experiment around and see what works for them and what their body responds best to. I have found that in terms of hormonal products my body responds well to Evening Primrose Oil and Alfalfa Powder and I would recommend both of those products for female hormone balancing.

I took the first dose as directed and a little a little later I had an upset stomach with mild cramping. I thought it may be a one off, getting used to the supplements so I took the next round later, as directed. This time it was worse, it caused me to have terrible stomach cramps and headache. The discomfort and pain lasted for hours, into the night and even impacted my sleep. Researching Maca, I found that this indeed happens to a small percentage of people. The worse part about this is that they will not allow you to return it! For the small percentage that this happens to, it's a bad experience all around. I definitely do not recommend this product, it's a painful gamble to the body and pocketbook too!

Seems to work well; less hot flashes, good energy. However I am only taking one capsule in the morning, the suggested amount is four per day.

I do think this helps with sleep. I bought three boxes; used one, and could not remember for the life of me where I put the other two. I noticed a negative difference in my sleep! I just found the boxes yesterday, so we'll see how the sleep goes once I'm back on it regularly for a bit.
