Great colors looks good on the fence

I took on a patio upgrade project while working from home during the pandemic because staring out at my tired patio was bringin' me down. I decided to renovate my messy soil and rock border with a permanent 'jelly pebble' border held in place with a polymer/resin. Once that was done, tinishing the aesthetics meant adding solar lights and color, metal decorative art. The butterfly filled in a perfect spot next to my hummingbirds. Voila! I have a whole new space to enjoy during lockdown.

The colors are bright and beautiful. It was a gift to a friends who loves butterflies. It’s on her office wall. A good size and makes a nice presence.

This butterfly is very nicely made, a lot sturdier than some of the other metal wall hangings on Amazon. The colors are vibrant and it doesn’t look cheap! I would highly recommend it.

The butterfly at a glance is really really pretty because of the colors, the size and the shape of the item. for the three things that I just mentioned, I give it five stars but here’s where they lose the points. It appears that the floral patterns on the item are decals or glorified stickers not saying necessarily that’s a bad thing , but if one doesn’t pay close attention to detail and adhering the decorative patterns and miss gluing down properly, one will end up with shotty work… as in this case. I don’t believe that these decals will last more than a couple of days out on the patio. The item was received with chips in the paint not very noticeable, but if I do not put a clearcoat on it prior to hanging it up, it won’t last long. It is a pretty piece the size the pattern the shape of it is beautiful, but the craftsmanship so to speak is not good. It’s not very sturdy. It’s very flimsy giftable?…. i’m not sure about that. I’ll have to see if it holds up after a clearcoat is put on but at this point I say it’s not giftable
