ChessUp 2 - Electronic Chess Board by Bryght Labs - Built-in WiFi, Chess Engine - Includes Chess Set TouchSense Pieces - Light Up Smart Chess Board - with AI, Lessons, Wireless Play & Companion App

Superb in every way, piece recognition means no more pressing the pieces on the board. Set up of special positions is so simple. The built in Chess engine makes quick play for all levels of ability.Learners have many aids to help suggest moves, legal moves, and take back, while club players can choose a stronger 'bot' to Challenge.Online opponents are easily accessed, whilst the built in rechargeable battery's will store your games until reactivated.Piece recognition was once only for those with very deep pockets, now its available for everyone!Ideal for private or family use together.

Does everything it says it can do really well. I'd avoid bullet chess, trying to move 2 players pieces becomes somewhat difficult

Amazing Chess Computer

Quality build. The pieces are ultra nice. The board lights are very pleasing, and if using as a learning tool, they are very clear. The board screen is clear, easy to use, and quality touch response. This item is most definitely geared to chess.com. Lichess is slowly being integrated, you can currently link to your Lichess account and play other players, however, you can not invite or challenge friends, although I'm told this is coming soon. It's expensive, but if you want that over the board (OTB) experience with online players it's a quality product. If you're signed up with chess.com it's fully integrated and you simply switch the board on, find a friend or player and play, no need for PC, Tablet or phone etc. You can play bots and in conjunction with the Chessup app you can undertake a full book of tutorials to teach you and take your game further. Can be used as a standard 2 player board, and can be set to help one player more to even things up a little. Doesn't need WIFI all of the time, but this is easy to set up and obviously essential to sync with online play. Why only 4 stars? Lichess must be fully integrated with the same commitment as chess.com.

Excellent

Great board but let down badly by flaky software (despite two updates in last few weeks). the software issues are mainly related to the chess.com functionality which is probably one of the main reasons someone would buy this device

Estoy encantado.

I love chess. I'm good at chess. I can't find people around me that like chess and offer a meaningful challenge. Enter Chessup 2. I can't connect it seamlessly to my Chess.com account and play bots, practice, and play whenever I want. Even without the Chess.com interpretation, the board has built in AI opponents that challenge me and make the experience fun and engaging. It's large enough to be comfortable to play in, but compact enough that it fits in my laptop backpack and I can take it places if I want. It's not designed for travel, but for camping of vacation, I imagine it would travel well enough. It feels solid, but is light weight. The pieces have some decent weight, but are not as heavy as other premium pieces. A small compromise, and in my opinion, worth it. They have a nice clank and do not sound or feel cheap. The integration of the LEDs in the board and the individual settings for two player, means my daughter can get hints while I get only legal moves, showing her how to best place pieces and she's learning to strategize.Myself, as a more experienced player, find the CPU challenging enough to be engaging and fun. I have also improved using this board.ByThis is the best "toy" I've purchased in a while. I find it to be well built and it works as advertised, with setup only taking a couple minutes. Now, it's turn it on and it connects. I have been playing other people o er the board too and I'm never without an engaging opponent.Worth it, if you enjoy chess, no questions about it.

Cet echiquier electronique est de bonne taille pour jouer sur internet et pratique à utiliser

My kid loves to play chess, and I don’t want him to be on his tablet all the time. You can link this board with chess.com (which you will need to do via the ChessUp app the first time), and play with other people from chess.com. After the initial setup, you can start games directly from the mini screen on the board (as long as you have WiFi)It is great for beginners, as it can show you where you can move with the piece by lighting up the board. The pieces feel like they are good quality. It is not magnetic, which isn’t a problem and it is not small enough for travel. It is expensive, but it is worth it in the long run.
