Wire is great - don’t understand why they include the 10mm ribbon connectors instead of ones that will accept the 22 AWG wire. Two different connection systems. You will need to acquire the right connectors to use with the RGB LED light strips.

The wire is great and easy to work with. The clips work perfectly for attaching together two strips of 10mm LEDs, like if you'd accidentally cut the strip at the wrong point because you don't need to measure it again - you remember where you're supposed to cut it, and if your wife tells you you're cutting in the wrong spot, what does she know? You've got an engineering degree and women are notoriously bad at measurement stuff, so SNIPPITY SNIP! *Sigh.* But hey, these clips work great for fixing the LED strip. In my case, a heartfelt apology, admission of being a brick-headed d-bag, and a pint of Häagen-Dazs fixed the other part. Trying to use the clips ON these wires, however, was a different story - perhaps if I'd tried to solder them in, that might have worked, but since I was soldering I figured I might as well solder them directly to the LED strip. When I tried to use the clips without solder on the wire, the act of closing the clip moved the wires away from where they needed to be in order to work. There may be a trick to using the clips with the wire, and that may be in some instructions somewhere, but I've got an engineering degree so I don't need to read instructions. Or verify measurements. Since I didn't try it myself, I'm theorizing here, but my wife says I'm OK at that... for a brick-headed d-bag. Soldering them to the clip might A. melt the clip if you're not careful, and B. make a connector that you can snap onto an LED strip and then unsnap it at a later date. When snapped on, it's really secure, so if you want to make a really solid but temporary connection to an LED strip, that might be a great way to go.

Excellent product

This is an essential piece of kit for people looking to install multiple lengths of LED strips in series to a single receiver. You will need different adapters than what come with this kit, and they're very flimsy and while the 'bite' just fine to the ends of RGB ribbon, they do not seem to be designed to clamp onto bare wire. Get a pack of adapters that have holes one one end and a ribbon clamp on the other if you want to use cable like this to bridge multiple light strips.
