Worth the money.
Love this jacket. Went with a medium and fits not too loose nor tight. I can still wear a sweater underneath which i like. My build is medium to small 44chest, 23 from top of shoulder to wrist and 32 waist. The leather is nice and thick. Definitely quality leather. From first manufacturings website the zippers and stitching is life time warranty from defects. Also raising my arms for 8 inch ape hangers which are about shoulders height feels good. The jacket doesnt raise up and choke me.My only concern since the jacket doesnt come with armor its hard to find ce rated armor that will fit in the pockets. Also the back protector pocket seems to hold from the middle of the back to the top. I tried the yellow universal armor from amazon and was way too big for all the pockets.

Beefy, comfortable, some armor fitment quirks
I ordered this due to anxiety after a low side crash (newbie mistake) with my Olympia Hudson mesh jacket. While that jacket is fine, my paranoia about road rash protection jumped up. This seemed to have both the best balance of cost of entry and venting options that I could find, so I went for it.First impressions: Heavy. This is of course a good thing since this skin is meant to save your own. No wimpy thin leather here. The (apparently discontinued) brown version arrived with a more grayish tint than fully brown, but a liberal treatment with Skidmore’s Leather Cream gave it the beautiful deep, dark color that I wanted.Armor fitment ranges from easy to fussy. D30 CE level 2 armor for elbows, be it from Icon or Klim, will fit without issue in the elbows. I put in the Klim D3O LP2 Pro Knee/Elbow Pads and was able to close the velcro without issue, and they sat properly against my elbows. I was worried that the Level 2 would be too thick for how snug this jacket fit me, but it turned out to be fine. The Icon D3O Viper 2 Back Protector turned out to be too big for the pocket, and I'll have to exchange it for the women's version (14"x10"). The Klim D3O LP2 Pro Shoulder Pads do fit into the shoulder pockets, but as you can see from the photo, they have to be upside down, and the pointy bit will stick up and prevent closing the velcro on the pocket. Shouldn't be an issue, as they seem to be in there pretty securely due to the pocket shape. (EDIT 10/4/2019: First Manufacturing now sells universal CE-2 armor on their own website, which is basically identical to what comes with newer Olympia jackets, and is much more comfortable than the more breathable but stiffer and thicker D3O LP2 Pro armor.)Zippers are a little stiff at first, but may get easier with time (and leather conditioning spill over). Fit on the Medium is a bit snug on my 5'9" 200lbs frame thanks to my love of beer and food, but it's not uncomfortable at all. I do notice the thick armor, but it feels secure in the proper locations, and with the Large they might not stay in place as well (EDIT: again, the universal armor is far more comfortable). Since there's no belt attachment with this jacket, having it more snug should be good in the event of a slide. To my surprise, with the liner out and vents open, this feels (so far) to be less warm than my Olympia Hudson mesh jacket. I haven't managed to do comparison rides yet, but this is definitely more comfortable. I'll report back once I've been able to try both on a hot day.EDIT 10/4/2019: Once temps get over about 71 degrees F, this jacket gets warm. Below that, it's GLORIOUS. Extremely comfortable, and feels very safe. I ended up getting a First Manufacturing Turbine fully perforated leather jacket for hotter weather, as I just don't find the mesh/textile of the Olympia as comfortable. I have not tried comparable Olympia leathers.I also eventually used the Skidmore’s Weatherproofing on this jacket, which further deepened the color. It's gorgeous and comfortable, and I'm eager to ride with it more now that the temperatures are better for it.

Love this Jacket!
This is a great jacket. I ordered the Large size. I'm 6' 4" tall, 210 lbs and normally wear a 44 Long suit coat jacket. The jacket fits great. I have long arms and this jacket still works.Very great quality jacket that is well made. Doesn't come with any body armor but it does have pockets for armor in the elbows, shoulders and back. I was able to take the armor from my previous jacket and put them in these pockets.Venting on the jacket is pretty good. If you live in a very hot climate, I probably wouldn't recommend this jacket. As long as you're moving the venting works. Thanks First MFG Co for an awesome leather jacket at a great price!

I don't know how a leather jacket could be made any better #1
This is the best leather jacket I have ever owned the fit is really good the quality can't be beat I had got a wilson leather and returned it and it is no comparison to this jacket. The first thing I noticed was the weight it is a half a cow lol.. The conceald carry pockets have very cool bullet shell slices for snaps very cool. You can not go wrong with first mfg jackets. I'm 5'9" 178lbs and I went with a med and the fit is very nice. Although if it wher any smaller it would be to small. I also ordered the Raider black leather from firs mfg in a large

High quality jacket for the price.
I read the reviews on another site about this jacket and decided to buy it. Very thick, durable leather. While it is somewhat fashionable, but it definitely offers alot of functional protection for your skin. I do not believe you can add armor however. It comes with a thermal liner and has several zipper vents in the front, and on the forward facing part of the sleeves. I am 5' 11", 220 lbs., athletic build and the Large fits me perfect. This is a serious jacket and a good bargain for what you pay for it.

Pretty good. I’m satisfied. Wish they sold it with pads
So first off. Super sturdy jacket. Extra material on elbows and shoulders- that’s a bonus for me since I bought pads to go in the elbows, shoulders, and back. Really great color- this is my first time choosing brown over black leather and I’m very happy about it. The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars is the spot for the pads is a very unique shape. If this company either sold it with pads or sold a kits that was designed for it I would give it 5 stars. Just something to think about. The pads I bought I had to cut to size and that was time consuming and definitely not perfect- but it will do for now.

Quality jacket
I was a bit skeptical to order this because I like to touch, feel and try on first. I ordered and could not be more pleased, first it came on time as stated, the quality blew me away, this is a very well made jacket. The leather is thick and seems to be of good quality, the stitching is strong of quality and finally the fit is perfect. This is a jacket worn while riding motorcycles and is just perfect for that, I recommend this to anyone who is considering it.

Excellent value for the money
This is a high quality, no-frills leather jacket. IMO it's jacket good for riding in temps between 55 F to 80 F. Mine is the dark chocolate brown. The leather is soft and supple for a brand new riding jacket, so the break-in period will be short. The leather quality is similar to a HD FXRG jacket that I also own, but with fewer pockets, vents and it isn't waterproof, but it's less than 1/2 the price of a new FXRG. The fit seems run a little on the snug side.

Impressive!!!!
I just recieved my jacket. This is a quality, thick, top grain leather jacket that exceeds my expectations!.Everything about this jacket is quality from leather to how it's put together. The chest zippers are actual pockets as well as vents!!!. Living in Canada, I won't be using the inside pockets for weapons!, But they are very deep and roomy for any kind of storage (gloves, wallet...). I'm 5',9" and 220lbs and a size large fits me like a glove. I could even fit a thin hoody under it if I feel like wearing it off the bike, which I fancy I will quite a bit with a jacket this nice. The leather is hefty and soft, Which is why its so suitable for wearing on or off the bike.If you are in the market for a bike jacket with Multi functional uses don't think twice .

great value and quality
Really nice to get a value product without paying the branding premium. Keep up the great work First M!I'm 5'11 213 lbs, large shoulders and biceps and can wear both large or xl. The shoulders arent much bigger in the xl, just more gut room. I bought the xl for over sweaters and the L for t-shirts

I'm 5'10" and weight 170 lbs. I usually wear a lg but the med. fits perfect.
This jacket is simply the best leather I've owned. Top drawer all the way. It has lots of space in the pocket dept.,including great vents to cool down. Thick leather, yet soft to the touch very comfortable fit. It came four days early, with free delivery. All in all, 10 out of 10.

Impressed
I was blown away by the quality and comfort. Best buy for a true motorcycle jacket that will live up to a crash and slide. A tad heavy but with a thick leather body it is what you need.

Built to last.
Very nice jacket 6' 1" 195 lg fits perfectly. Heavy duty build should last for over a decade some places charge over 700.00 for this quility. The morican brown a one of a kind marble distressed tone . All smiles for me.
