I also bought this a while back and it had the USDA organic logo. The current one does not and I do NOT see (unlike LisaP) organic mentioned in the description. Update: Checked on their website where they have a list if their organic and non-gmo teas. The Assam is not on either list. So NOT organic.

.I did not purchase this tea because it’s CTC....cut tear and curl........must not be leaves but fannings?

CTC is yes cut tear and curl in order to have stronger bolder tea for especially milk tea. So it is not the matter of inferior/ superior. If you wanna drink milk tea, then you'll get CTC. if you wanna drink straight, you'll get regular leaf. I'm actually surprised there is so few kinds for Assam CTC...

Can I reuse the leaves to brew multiple batches? If so, how many batches max do you recommend before disposing of them?

This Assam is "CTC" which means, crush-tear- curl. Crush-tear-curl, are tea leaves rolled into small pellets. You could reuse the pellets, but keep in mind it will be weaker in taste ,with every re-brew, maybe 2 times max. This is an awesome tea to enjoy any time of the day!

How is this fair trade? under "fair trade" claims all it says is that it does not travel for months etc. are the producers paid a fair price?
