Flip (RC-N3), Drone With 4K UHD Camera for Adults, Under 249 g

As a new drone user, I have tried out several models with varying experiences. So when it came to the Flip, I was not too sure whether it would match more traditional drones. It doesn't - the Flip beats them! First it is extremely easy for a novice to use - the choice of operations (mobile, voice, gesture, control) give plenty of scope and the step by step videos build confidence quickly. The done has a simple return to home so you don't worry that it'll get lost and the blade guards, whilst a bit noiser, really do let you fly without fear. With several novice drones, you compromise the quality for ease. Not so with Flip - the video footage is amazing and the editing tools will keep you developing as a pro drone content creator. The beauty of this drone is that you can enjoy it all with a few clicks or shoot advanced flight sequences as your skills progress. It will challenge you as much as you are ready to take on the next level. Battery life is good, the fly more package with the screen on the controller is well worth the money if you can stretch to it. The after care package and support give an overall 5 star to this drone.

Truly amazing the quality is just what you have become to expect DJI but this was incredibly good value for money the features are awesome and it’s great for beginners or even professionals alike the durability is as always amazing.

I've tried and owned this one as well as the Neo2 and the Lito X1, but this was the one I decided to send back. If you are looking for a cheap drone that takes images almost as good as a Mini Pro and can fly with a controller competently, then this is a great one, especially as it is compact and can also do similar things to the Neo2. The only area where it's let down is if you want to be cycling through dense woods and places like that and expect this to follow you. It will, but it will often get stuck because it just can't cope with too many obstacles in confined spaces.

This is my first ever drone and honestly, I’m blown away by the DJI Flip. As someone with zero previous experience, I found it incredibly easy to set up, fly and control. Within minutes I was confidently navigating it around without feeling overwhelmed. The camera quality is absolutely superb. I’m glad I chose this model over the slightly higher-spec DJI option, especially since they share the exact same camera. The few reduced specs on this model (range, sensors, etc.) really don’t matter for a beginner — you’d barely notice the difference unless you’re flying professionally or pushing it to extreme conditions. The stabilisation is brilliant, footage looks smooth and sharp, and the response time while flying feels very natural. Battery life is decent for such a compact drone, and the whole thing is unbelievably portable — literally pocketable — so it’s ideal for taking out on walks or days out. Overall, for a first-time user, this drone is perfect. Fantastic camera, super easy to fly, and excellent value. I’m genuinely impressed and really glad I picked this version.

Researched which drone to buy and this one does everything needed for me. Hand free auto when I need it and use of controller or phone app for more precise flight and close up photography. The technology is awesome and video quality faultless. I need a spare battery for increased flexibility and solid carry box but otherwise have everything I'll ever need. Appears future proof. Well pleased with my choice. Considered neo, mini 3 and 4pro but this one ticks all my boxes.

If, like me, you were thinking about buying your first drone, and were torn about which one to buy, let me assure you. Just get this one. The camera is the same as the one inside the DJI Mini 4 Pro, but costs about half of that drone. It's about the same price as the DJI Mini 3, but is newer, with a better camera. And yes, it's more expensive than the DJI Neo, but this has a significantly better camera, with 4k footage and a 3 axis gimble. It has prop guards to keep things a bit safer and to protect from damage. Yes, this means it's not quite so capable in the wind, but as a first drone, would you really want to use it very strong winds? And yes, it's a bit noiser than others, but not a deal breaker. Great, built in quick shots, mean you can quickly (about 20 seconds) get this thing in the air to capture some footage of you or your family, without the need for a controller. It's so easy to use. Good flight time, again, plenty for your first drone, but extra batteries are available. Honestly, if you are after your first drone, that can actually record cinematic footage, and capture RAW photographs, don't overthink it, and get this. You won't be disappointed.

Prior to buying this, I'd had a wee go with a friend's Mavic and loved it. That drone felt strong and well made as well as being easy to use and with impressive results from the camera. However it was someone else's and cost loads so I gave it back before I broke it. Fast forward a little and I bought this as my birthday gift. I've been consistently impressed with what this wee thing can do. Initially I bought it to carry out a close up inspection of my roof, as it's pretty high up and would require costly scaffolding to reach. Obviously this managed it with ease and more. I've since captured some incredible moments with it from places I just couldn't reach. This is a VERY well designed and engineered drone with formidable effort put in to make it as easy to use as your phone or other human interface device. I also have to mention the range on this. Capable of soaring to 500m and travelling horizontally up to 14km!!!( Line of sight needed as the signal won't travel through everything). We live by the coast and I love sending this up to capture sunsets over the sea. One thing I'm glad of is the return to home feature. This kicks in if it thinks it'll run out of power or if it loses signal. Very reassuring. I also like the various modes it has and the remote is very easy to use and feels very well built. Overall this is an impressive device, tool, toy, resource. It continues to suprise and reward us, months after it's purchase and I'm sure it'll continue to do so for a long time to come.

Great drone

Ce drone adopte un pilotage simplifié accessible au débutant, tout en proposant une image d’excellente qualité. L’application à utiliser avec le drone est également assez simple pour les débutants. Tout se prend très rapidement en main. Attention, si vous prévoyez de faire de longues session avec des images en 4 K, prévoyez une carte mini SD de minimum 128 giga.

My first drone. Very good value for money! I am very happy with the purchase and with what this drone can do. I recommend getting an additional battery.
