I wanted to love this product. And for three months I did, but then it abruptly snapped in half and landed my son on his head.The good: as advertised, looks great and easy to install. We used it for 3 months to hold a rope swing that saw a few hours use a week for kids between 50-140 pounds.The bad: Apparently it had been fraying the whole time (despite my installing it as instructed), until it finally snapped in half. I gave it two stars because it really does look like a great product and maybe I just got a lemon. Sadly, I contacted the company and they said since I bought it through Amazon I should contact Amazon - but now the return window has expired. If you use this for things with very minimal chance of friction then it could work for you, but I would suggest for "regular use" this is not all it's cracked up to be. Back to the drawing board for my next rope swing!

This is so much better on the tree and easy to put up and take down. No more scars on the trees. It seems to allow the tree to grow naturally as it’s being used.

We have a trampoline swing and a rope swing up using these. They appear heavy enough to withstand the South Texas sun.

When my son's swing fell, we thought the rope had broken. Upon investigation, it became apparent that this strap had broken! Hugely disappointed. HearthSong can consider themselves lucky that he wasn't more seriously injured.My husband's comment, "HearthSong may be butt hurt by this review, but not as badly as our son was butt hurt by this product."
