It is solid but still light enough to do great tricks. My son adores it. His Razor is complete garbage compared to how this scooter is built. My son loves it. Its sturdy. I myself got on it and I am 150 lbs, it didn't drag or slow down. I just wanted to enjoy a moment or two of silliness for myself. quite surprised it took my weight and held it as I kicked around the driveway and sidewalks a bit. Now I know he's got a strong scooter. We bought this in December 2015. My 12 year old son received this for his birthday and has been using it at a skate park and on the road and the bearings in the shaft of the handle bars that connect to the wheel base are already coming apart. Sadly, the return policy for his was horribly short and I can see why now. I would never, ever purchase this brand again.
