I love my counter top icemaker, but wanted to make sure the inside stayed clean and free of mold. I could have mixed up a homemade cleaner, but found this year's supply of cleaning tablets. Now I clean it once a month, and it could not be easier. I feel much better knowing the interior drains are mold-free and clean, and the ice is clear and has no taste at all. I highly suggest using these for your counter top icemaker.

I use a GE Opal 2.0, and recently it started making some loud noises that I suspected were caused by mineral buildup inside the machine. After installing a reverse osmosis water filtration system, I decided it was the perfect time to give the ice maker a thorough cleaning. I emptied all the ice and water, dissolved one tablet in about three quarters of a gallon of water heated to roughly 155°F, and used that mixture for a concentrated treatment. I ran the cleaning cycle twice to use the entire solution, then followed up with two additional cycles using my filtered water to rinse everything out. The process was straightforward, and the tablets dissolved without any issues. The results were impressive. The very next day, the loud sounds were gone completely. Whatever buildup was causing the problem appears to have been removed, and the machine is running much more smoothly now. This stuff works really, really well and delivered exactly the results I was hoping for. When it comes to the price, I would say it's priced appropriately. Lastly, I'm rating this 5-stars because I would definitely get this again.
