DELELE2 Pair Work Boot Laces Outdoor Mountaineering Hiking Walking Shoelaces

This is probably not the review anyone expected but...I bought these laces because I read they worked well to set up potted plants in a self-watering system while you're away on vacation. After sticking one end down a few inches into medium sized pots (8" ?), they wicked the water from an elevated bucket, through the lace, and into the plants soil at a perfect pace. And, with the olive green flecked with brown, they were barely noticeable. Who knew!?

Bought these laces for work boots that I use often while tending to my small farm. Upon opening the package, it's very noticeable that the laces were much smaller in diameter than expected. I bought the 55-inch laces, and extended the length of the lace in front of me and pulled; the lace stretched at least an additional 10-12 inches, which in my view is not desirable. This is NOT a solid lace. It's covered with a thin sheath to provide a colored pattern and make it pretty. This sheath is always the first thing to break on any shoelace, so it's not a good thing to have for even light use.I DO NOT recommend these laces for hiking or work boots, or any shoe you expect to use for anything other that walking the catwalk in a fashion show.

December, 2019 update:The covering on one of the laces finally came off, leaving the white core. I was wearing tennis shoes a fair amount during the summer, so these laces lasted may 4 or 5 months before the outer covering came off. Not great, but okay, I guess. Unless I find something better, I will probably buy these again.Original February, 2019, review:I purchased a brand new pair of walking shoes, sort of a combination of tennis shoe and hiking boot, in the last several months. To my chagrin, the outer covering of the laces broke within two or three months of buying the shoes. Apparently the laces that came with the shoes were not of very good quality. So, off to Amazon to hunt for laces.Now, the real challenge with finding new laces was figuring out which reviews to believe. It seemed that every lace had its fans and its detractors. After reading a lot of negative reviews, and a sample of positive reviews, I decided to try this particular lace. I am very happy that I did.Out of the box, I thought these laces might be too large. Indeed, they were so long that they were literally dragging on the ground. After a bit of analysis, I realized that I had pulled the laces too tightly at the bottom end of the tongue. After adjusting the laces, they fit more like the original lace.Now came the real test, walking with the laces tied. One of the problems I had with the original laces is that they would loosen with walking, and it seemed like I was re-tying my shoes constantly. Not so with these laces. Indeed, I can generally tie the laces once and they are good for the whole day, though I might occasionally re-tie them once in a day because of minor loosening. However, these laces are easily an order of magnitude better than the original laces.While few people look at laces, the black laces with white squares that I purchased look very similar to the original laces, and they look quite nice.The one thing that is too early to determine is durability. The original laces lasted maybe two or three months. I have only had these laces for a week. Even so, I love how they stay tight.My rating of five stars is based mostly on the ability of these laces to stay tight. In addtition, everything else about the laces seems good so far. The laces look good, the length is right, and they seem more durable than the original laces. Everything to like and nothing to dislike.Enjoy!

Lasted three hikes. Very stretchy and I had to continually keep tightening them to keep my Merrells snug. Which is probably why they didn't last. Other comparably priced laces have lasted much longer and have given me better results.

Outer layer separated after 2 months. I’m disappointed

The laces looked good but I was sent a longer pair than I ordered. Second the fabric that covers the cord ripped apart within 3 days of usage while tying my boots. Can't recommend. Try a different brandEdit: after a month of use the other pair ripped apart as well. I just ended up using my nike running shoe cord on my work boots. The nike cord way stronger and easier to pull on than this over price shoe cord.

Supposed to be 47.24", they were more like 54", way too long. I tried contacting the company but no one ever responded. I might like them if they were the right length.

This is the best laces I’ve ever had! Really. I’ve used OEM laces from very expensive brands, as well as reputable brands from REI and such. Somehow, these laces just stay tied! For years(I’m 62) I’ve alway needed to retie my laces several times a day. I was convinced somehow I didn’t learn to tie my shoes properly, however, now I say “who cares!”. I’m just going to replace all my sport shoes with these and enjoy life!
