Fantastic mandolin pick
Bought this for mandolin. Like the sound i get… a little more mellow… not much of a pick click. Have tried 10’s if not a hundred different picks… keep coming back to this pick. Did a blind sound test with girlfriend and she picked this one too. And if you drop it… you can find it!!!! A bit pricy but there are picks way more expensive. I think a good value but sound is so subjective… what i like you may not like.

For my first mandolin.
I previously purchased my first mandolin from an online supplier in Thailand without any pick included. I was told that guitar picks could be used instead for some first times, but I also learned that mandolin-specific picks are harder and thicker and using my existing guitar picks did not produce a satisfactory result. So I ordered these mandolin picks. They are as hard and thick as I expected, and the performance was more satisfying so that I have more confidence to improve practicing the mandolin.

Was hoping for a bit more of a textured grip
D'Addario strings for guitar have been my standard for many years. Years ago, I could not play without a pick, then suddenly I could not play with one. But mandolin really requires a pick for accuracy and sound quality. I like the size and shape, but I was hoping for a little more grip texture, but that just me.

I know what you are thinking.....15 bucks for 3 Mando Picks...........BUT Wait there's more.
Relatively new to the mandolin but I have been playing acoustic for over 40 years. Initially I thought, quite pricey for only 3 picks. Believe me, they are worth it. They easily slide off the the strings and that equates to faster playing and quicker chord changes. You don't have that trebley clicking that comes with using a thin nylon pick. They are comfortable and slippage is minimal if noticible at all. Worth it, but keep them is a safe place where you are sure not to misplace them. I have only been playing with them for a few days and I am interested in how durable they are. I have been pleased with all D'Addario products that I have used in the past.

Big round mandolin pick
The material these are made of is nice. It sounds and feels similar to Lexan, which Jim Dunlop Stubby picks are made from, but in a mandolin pick shape. The size is large, about 1 and 3/16 inch. Compared to a standard 351-style guitar pick, it feels a bit bigger across, and slightly thicker than Fender heavy gauge. I was disappointed that one of the picks in my pack had one edge unevenly cut, which is why I rated 4 stars.

Real nice pick , great price point, brightly coloured and eay to find. Sounds great, quiet and smooth, no scratchy sounds , harmonics produced with no difficulty and easy to hold . My hands are on big size and I have thick fingers, this pick works well with my hand size.
