The best part is that each button on the steering wheel can be programmed with two functions each.
Excellent product! I installed a new Kenwood stereo in my FJ Cruiser and to activate the steering wheel controls, I installed Maestro Sw. It worked perfectly; the buttons function flawlessly, and best of all, you can program each button with two functions. So, I also used the volume down button to reject calls by pressing it briefly and hanging up, and the volume up button, when pressed briefly, answers phone calls! The manufacturer provides clear instructions.

THIS IS THE ONE!
IT WORKS in my 2011 Honda Pilot! I tried three other recommended modules. Save yourself the trouble if you're putting in a chinese 10 inch android stereo in a Honda and get this SWC module. It has the clearest instructions and simple setup to install yourself. I just needed to buy a 3.5mm female jack and used the white and red wires for key 1 and 2. The search is over! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Decent product
works well with my Kenwood stereo. installation was easy (assuming you’ve installed your own radio). even easier when you do it with a fresh install. instructions are clear, which were given after you program it on a computer. it allows you to program a function to each button with a single and a long press. I find it to make my rides more convenient, but it’s livable without it. I can very confidently say it is overpriced though.

Opened and used
Package was opened. Wires cut and stripped with frayed ends. Frustrating wait for something you ordered then it is not factory new and not sure if all instruction and items are present. Frustrating......

👍🏼
Excellent! I have a 2005 RAV4 with steering wheel radio controls. So when I put in anew stereo(pioneer) I wanted to keep them. This little box was VERY easy to install, and the setup guide walks you through everything. Only takes a few minutes. Plus! You can actually switch what your steering wheel buttons do. I'm very happy with this.

Works like a Charm in a Subaru Crosstrek 2016
Got an aftermarket Boss radio installed on my Subaru Crosstrek 2016. Since got all the harnesses from Metra, I initially purchased a Metra Axxess ASWC-1 in order to keep the Steering Wheel Controls (SWC). After initial installation everything worked just fine except the SWC. After expending more than 12 hours triple checking connections, hardwiring with solder, a few hours in the phone with technical support, and even a replacement unit, the ASWC-1 unit simply didn't work on my car. While troubleshooting the issue I found an article indicating that even though Metra states that their device works with Subarus 2016 and older, there are documented issues between their device and all the Subarus with a StarLink module (believe most Subarus 2016 and older have a StarLink module). So I decided to give a try to the Maestro. Oh boy, what a difference. Not only worked perfectly and I was able to retain all my steering wheel controls, but also the setup process was a lot user friendly. You just need to pre-setup the device in a computer before installation (for your particular car and stereo system) and make sure to connect the cables correctly. Online instructions and setup process are a lot better and more user friendly than the ones for the first device that I tried. Not sure if this applies for other brands and models, but based on my personal experience, the Maestro seems to be a more developed device, both hardware and software wise.

It mostly works.
The software was easy to navigate, it was easy to install, and it did get most of my steering wheel controls to work. I say most, because the software flashed duplicate functions for 4 of the buttons on my 2020 WRX (Source, Voice Command, Answer, and Hang Up) so I ended up not being able to set all of those on my head unit. I think Source was the only one of those 4 I could actually get to work.

Easy to set up using my computer. Installation in my Toyota GT86 2017 was straightforward, and unlike other steering wheel interfaces I’ve tried, this one worked perfectly; all the buttons are now fully functional. The computer software is user-friendly and lets you customise the function of each button. It even provides a wiring diagram tailored to your specific car, making the installation process much smoother.

This was a little tricky to install. Had to search a bit to find the correct wires in my vehicle. Once I found the right ones, it has been working perfectly allowing me to retain the use of the steering wheel controls.

It was a trusted brand, hard to get this option in Australia. Configured using the software app, which was straightforward. Installed in car and worked as expected. Had to flip two buttons. Just reflashed in the car and presto perfect result.

Simple installation and instructions. Once I set it up for my vehicle and connected the head unit, it was a breeze to program the steering wheel buttons

Used the custom install option to connect to unlisted car (Mahindra PikUp) worked first time. The only issue is that I couldn’t save the configuration, so when I went to make changes I had to reflash from the start.
