The EPIC 12" subwoofer is designed to be lighter, smaller and ultimately more affordable without deviating from the TC Sounds world-class displacement and low distortion performance guarantee.

Amazing driver
The driver is truly a world class driver deliver deep accurate bass. Don't be fooled by folly reviewers (below), I have owned a number of TC products and they have always been top notch. The Epic probably has the best value of them all. Currently, I'm using this driver in a small ported box with a 1000w amp, perfect match!

To the guy who had them for three days
Just cause this other guy blew them with in three day's doesn't mean anything. Guy probably had them wired wrong or sent too much distortion to them via his amp. These really are high quality drivers, but you do need some intelligence.

gah these be bad
If your serious about your system, aka competition; then these off brand subs will fail. had them for 3 days and blew them with only half the peak wattage. most disappointing subs ever.

Best Sub For Under $200
I decided for my 7.1 surround sound home theater system that it would be best for me to build my own powered subwoofer. After doing extensive research, I chose the TC Sounds Epic 12" DVC subwoofer.I've had this sub for several months now, in a 3.4 cubic foot sealed enclosure paired with a Dayton Audio SPA1000 amplifier. This sub is excellent for the price. The bass is incredibly smooth and has virtually no distortion at all (when the amp isn't clipping or maxed out) and it is crystal clear. Once this speaker hits its full potential, continuing to turn up the gain will simply result in the sub not getting any louder, rather than having the driver bottom out.I've been a bass-head for years now and I know a good sub when I hear one. The Epic 12" is definitely one of those subs.
