Beautiful as usual!
This short book was not a romance. But every word of it held my attention. It was written in true Grace Livingston style; The word of God in the plot, characters and story line. It was sad but also greatly encouraging. Grace Livingston was a master writer!

I didn’t read the fairytale at the end of this book… However the first book grace Livingston hill wrote had no love story but was sweet story of invalid boy… And his pain, suffering, but a mighty work that he did.I’m glad she changed her writing to the other books I have read with mystery, love, romance… But this was a sweet book

Nice, for what it contains
The story itself, The Parkerstown Delegate, is a sweet story by one of my favorite authors. Itself, it deserves 5 stars. This kindle edition, however, does not.For any GLH fans who have her books in paperback, this is #97 in the series (Tyndale, Living Books, etc publishers). However, the kindle edition only contains this story. The paperback version contains this story, plus 'A Chautauqua Idyl' and 'A Little Servant' (available separately for Kindle, for $1.99 and $2.99, respectively). I paid $3.99 for this kindle edition, and promptly returned it.There is a second kindle edition of this book currently on Amazon. I paid 99 cents for that one on special, but I would have been very unhappy to pay $2.99 for it. Instead of GLH's other two stories, it contains some ripoff of fairy tales that I could have done without. But at least it wasn't $3.99.

A sweet story
This was a quick, pleasant read. A little idealistic on the main characters, but this is true of most writing of this time period. The story is an inspiring one which challenges the reader to reach to their highest potential in Christ, despite life's troubling circumstances.

Wonderful picture of heaven...
I loved her reminding the readers of this book how this life is small and insignificant in comparison to what those who know Him have to look forward to in the next one.

Wonderful book I love Grace Livingston Hill. Her books are full of fun, love, mystery, history and love of our Lord and how to get to know him.

Parkerstown
I love Grace Livingston Hill books. As the friend who introduced me to them said, "They take you back to a simpler time that never really existed!" However, this turned out not to be one of my favorites. It was OK, but just not GLH at her best, in my opinion. The book itself was in good condition. Just the story I didn't care for that much.

Another great book
Mrs Hill is by far my favorite author. Her books always inspire me to draw closer to Christ no matter what the storyline. This is no exception.
