Can this suit be used for water skiing?

I used mine for sailing. I capsized and had to get in the water to right the boat. I was in the water for about 5-10 minutes. I found out this suit is spray resistant but not waterproof. After getting out of the water , I had about 1/2 gallon in each foot. The suit is rugged enough for skiing but I cannot say it is waterproof. I still think it is a great product and am happy with it, but unless you are a great skier or are in warm water, you might want to look at other options.

Im 6'1", 230lbs with broad shoulders would a XL fit?

I'm 6'2", 220 with broad shoulders. 33" waist, 17 " neck. The suit itself has plenty of room, actually kind of baggy in the seat and waist area. The only issue is the neck seal. It felt a little tight for about an hour or two, after that I got used to it. The relief zipper is a big plus. This is a fairly light suit and you really don't feel it when it is worn.

Can i submerge myself under water in this suit? If so, how long before i get wet?

to my knowledge the suit will keep you dry if you are submerged under water as for how long you are under water before you get wet I'm not sure. if I had to guess I would say not very long it is not a dive suit

Excellent value

I bought the extra large (6'1", 200lbs) fits perfect with plenty of room for layering. easy to get on and the boot socks fit my size 14 feet! neck collar is easy to get on and is quite comfortable. water proof zipper moves well with the lube that comes with it. Extremely pleased and looking forward to using it.

Works till it doesnt

So I didn't get a year out of this dry suit before it tore from casting. When I reached out for support/warranty there staff was helpful but useless. They said the suits get replaced and didn't know if they could be repair. They were all super friendly but I still have a 500 dollar not dry suit. It kept me warm and dry several times but when it tore I was in 57°f water on a 39°f night so it did nothing then. I understand things break but I didn't get a year out of this suit and customer service can't really do anything to help me. My advice would be to find a different company

Felt great, but on the second try of just trying ...

I bought this semi dry suit over at Austin Kayak recently. Medium size fit very well at 5'10", 160lbs, 31 inseam, 32 waist, sport build. Felt great, but on the second try of just trying it on, the neoprene neck gasket stitching popped loose in a small area. No good. Sent this back immediately for full refund, thank you Austin Kayak for the great service, but please make quality kayaking gear available in all areas. With a 2 year warranty only, I'm not about to take a chance again on another Stohlquist. Went with the recent sale on Kokatat Supernova angler Hydrus for only $150 more, but lifetime warranty. Should have gone this route to begin with. Stohlquist not worth the savings.

Great dry suit for jet skiing

I bought this for my son who will use it while jet skiing. Although the tight neck gets some getting use to, the overall fit is great and it is relatively easy to get in and out of. He loves it!

The legs and feet are fine. I am 6'2"

I ordered this to fit in the arms and shoulders. The suit fits there but is snug around the neck. The seat and waist area is quite ample. The legs and feet are fine. I am 6'2", 220, with a 34"waist, 46" chest, 17" neck and a 37" sleeve. The zippers work fine and the construction is well done. I would buy another one.

Fits perfect and is well made. The test of time will tell the story. Seems like a high quality suit. So far has functioned flawlessly.

I love the way the material allows you to be very flexible. For those considering the purchase for kayaking ... I highly recommend it. I went one size larger and that was the right direction. The neck ceil is comfortable. The whole suit allows one to be completely mobile. I'd wear this over a wet suit any day.
