Stylish, comfortable, and tons of space!
I have been lugging around my laptop, work gear, and odds & ends in a clunky, shapeless shoulder bag for years. I finally decided I deserved an upgrade and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the Apex 3.0. This bag has a surprisingly large capacity, yet is sleek and comfortable. It is made of super high quality materials that have kept their shape and color despite me using this day in, day out. My kids spilled a smoothie on the outside and it wiped right off, and the bag still looks great. I love the phone pocket on the shoulder strap, and can stash away my small stuff (watch, cash, AirPods) in any of the small secure internal pockets. I would absolutely buy this again (although I don’t think I’ll need to since it seems to last forever…). Get yourself an Apex 3.0! You won’t be disappointed.

Sleekest backpack ever
I LOVE this backpack. Definitely worth the price. It is completely waterproof, which is excellent for me as a student who commutes, sometimes in the rain. It feels lightweight and durable, looks professional. And there’s so many little sneaky compartments for all my trinkets! Makes me feel like I’m on a mission. My laptop always feels safe and protected. My one gripe is that the water bottle pockets are sometimes too loose and my water bottle (which is admittedly large) falls out of them.

Best bag I have owned
This is the best backpack I have owned. The design is great as is the structure. It hold everything and actually has more useful pockets than any other bag I've used. So far I give it 5 stars.

take it from someone who never spends money on himself - this bag is worth it!
I'm a educator/business professional and have always used backpacks for my daily packing needs - journal, portfolio, laptop, chargers, etc. Although I make a decent living, I'm a pretty frugal person, so a backpack like this is not something I ever would have purchased in the past - $50-100 is the most I ever would have spent (only once did I spend more than $50). I decided, however, to step out of my comfort zone and buy a truly professional, well-made, hopefully-long-lasting backpack this time. I researched and viewed many backpacks, but always came back to the Troubadour Apex 3.0. Something about it caught my eye the first time I saw it/read about it and nothing else quite ever matched up to it as I continued to research - so I went out on a limb and bought it. I haven't had it long as of this review, but I can say unequivocally that I am 100% happy with my purchase. I fits every need I have in a work/professional backpack in regards to what I need to carry on a daily basis - plus it looks beautiful and seems to be made extremely well. I have looked at Troubadour's lineup of bags and wish I could afford to buy a bunch more - but I'm a cheapo, so idk, haha. Praying to continue loving this for years to come!

Futuristic High Quality Backpack
Very high quality backpack that will for sure draw attention as it looks really nice and clean. Very spacious and has several dividers in both the main and the laptop compartment. Build quality is really good. The laptop compartment has really good padding and materials to protect your laptop or tablet. You can easily fit a 16" MacBook Pro in here with ease. Zippers are high quality. Very nice area to add an Apple AirTag for tracking the backpack via the Find My app on the Apple ecosystem. The two sides can hold two regular sized drinks. The only complaint I do have is that over time, the leather on the top holder starts to wear but that is expected. Overall, a very sleek, futuristic backpack. Highly recommended.

Professional-looking, well-built, and comfortable
I was looking for a laptop backpack that could brave the Montréal winters, so I figured I'd go for a high-quality bag, and I'm really happy with the Apex 3.0 so far. It's sturdy, professional, and large enough to bring on day trips but compact enough to walk in comfortably. All of the pockets are on the inside so it's sleek and structured from the outside, and size-wise, it fits my two 13-inch MacBook Airs plus an iPad with no problem. Love the colour, too — the Basalt one is a nice classy bluish-green grey.

Good looks, poor ergo - style over substance.
I’m rating this three stars overall, but that’s actually composed of several different things, weighted somewhat arbitrarily. Strap ergo: three stars - they are mostly OK, but they try to slide off my shoulders and they always seem to get twisted up when I’m putting the backpack on. Zippers: one star - they don’t operate smoothly, especially the zipper on the little pocket in front. Zippers are a constant annoyance. Carrying capacity: two stars - it always seems to be just a little bit too small for what I need. Style: five stars - definitely looks professional. Durability: two stars - the top handle started to shred after a year. Bottom line: if you’re used to the durability, ergonomics, and ease of use that come with something like a North Face backpack, you will be disappointed. If you absolutely have to have something that cannot be perceived as utilitarian in any way, then sure - give this a second look.
