Caster Classics Large Wheel Universal Chair Casters for Carpet 5-Pack

about these wheels as replacement set since I broke one of the wheels on my chair. The problem is that there are only 2 inches high and the bottom of my chair would scrape along the ground because the center stem with touch. Other than that these are good replacements.I replaced them but I will recommend them to anyone that doesn't have a center stem that requires 2 inch clearance.

I've tried these "carpet" rollers on a medical stool and office chair, but they work/roll no more easily than the original casters that came with those chairs. Not large enough to make any difference at all in rolling over carpet. Waste of $20.

THESE ARE THE BEST CASTERS I HAVE EVER FOUND! I'M 6'2" AND 350 LBS, I HAVE FOR YEARS HAD SERIOUS ISSUES WITH CHAIR CASTERS NOT LASTING AND BREAKING.THESE ARE THE BEST I HAVE EVER FOUND. SOLID, FIRM, NO WOBBEL OR GIVE. I RUN THESE ON MY HD DESK CHAIR AND ITS LIKE MAGIC!. I FEEL SECURE to SIT AND LEAN BACKAND ENJOY THE CHAIR WITHOUT WORRYING I'M GOING TO OVER TAX THE CASTERS. I EVEN BOUGHT A SET FOR MY SON, WHO IS ALSO OVER 6' AND COMEs IN AROUND 300LBS and he is a plopper lol.HE BREAK CHAIRS LIKE THEY ARE GLASS... HE CAN'T DESTROY THESE CASTERS, SO I BOUGHT A SET FOR ME. YOU Can PAY WAY MORE FOR OTHER CASTERS (like the $57.00 set here on Amazon) BUT YOU WON'T GET ANY BETTER ! FYI, I PAID A SPECIALTY SHOP FOR BIG AND TALL MEN over a 150,00 for heavy duty casters and they didn't last as long 3 months. My son's set, it has been over a year now and he still hasn't broke them. Heck he even uses his chair in the gravel when he works on his car ! and these caster just keep on doing there job ! Carpet, no black marks on wood floor, bare concrete and even gravel wont stop these casters.

I got these because of my thick carpet. They are a little larger than the original and do slide a little better but not as much as I had hoped. For the price though, I am happy. You get what you pay for.

I did not even try these wheels. They look like they are probably good quality, but they were exactly the same wheels that were already on the chair, so I just packed them up and sent them back.

Sorry if this is a little long winded, but I need to express how amazing these are. I am 6' 2" and 275lbs, I am a massage therapist with both a home and spa practice. My former home studio had a nice linoleum floor to roll upon. My spa floors are very low carpet on concrete. A year ago when we moved, all of the rooms have nice low carpeting but the padding is about 2' thick, rendering my stool useless. Dreaded thoughts of ripping up carpet and laying new floors entered my mind every time I had to "stand and skooch" my seat. I miraculously wandered upon a different brand of Large wheel Casters on Amazon that were 4" but like 50 bucks! Yes less than flooring, but seriously? So I chose these in hopes that they would work.They Do! And I am freewheeling around my table as I write this so I can take a picture of what just a little bit bigger wheel looks like. Great Product thus far.

I'm a big guy, and I spend a lot of time in this chair at home. I roll around a lot with it and force it up on throw rugs with my weight. The chair has held up great, but the original casters began to break--the wheels held up, but the metal pin that inserts into the base would shear. I ordered free replacements from the chair manufacturer, but my chair went out of warranty a few months back, and they would not provide me with casters (even though I offered to pay for them).I had to find a substitute, and these match in size and fit perfectly in the chair base Going on 4 months now, and not a single broken caster yet--I averaged breaking 1 caster about every 2 months using the original ones. Ya, I'm very rough on my chair with the way I misuse and abuse it, but these casters are holding up better than the originals.

These are not large wheels, it is only slightly larger than my existing wheels. The existing wheel come with my chair is 2” which is the default size on all chair brands. I bought this wheel thinking that its advertised “Large” size will somehow help to make it easier for me to maneuver around my think carpet. When I receive the wheel I was surprised that they are just a little larger than my existing wheel. I measure it and these wheel are 2 3/8” wide, i.e. they are only 3/8 “ larger than my existing 2” wheels. Anyways I install it on my chair and I don’t feel much different at all on maneuverability. The large in the description is somewhat misleading and Amazon should correct this mistake. Now, I ended up with an extra set of wheel that don’t do me any good.
