Homespun Vintage: 20 timeless knit and crochet projects

This is a beautifully produced hardback book with a quality vintage feel to it and many clear photos of the projects of which there are twenty. Most of the projects are cushion covers with an odd bedspread, rug etc thrown in. I love most of the cushion designs and intent to make several of them - some are beaded, some have other embellishments and others are relatively plain. I think anyone who likes knitting or crocheting cushions would find something in this book to make and there is something for all skill levels.

I saw a crocheted blanket in a local wool shop and was told it was from the above book. There are some lovely patterns in it, (including the blanket!) and the instructions seem very clear and easy to follow. However, of the 20 designs on offer in the book 15 are for cushions so be aware of this when ordering.

A very nice book with some lovely patterns for cushions etc. Going on the popularity of all things Vintage I think you definately find something to appeal. The patterns are well written out and look easy to follow on first glance.

I bought this book as a gift and it is lovely. I'm quite envious and really wish I could knit! My friend is going to love this!

Aside from an exquisite cushion (hence the 3 stars) I found the patterns in this book very dated and more 70s than the "vintage" expected.
