Scholastic Flash Cards: Sight Words

I’ve been using the Scholastic Sight Word Flash Cards daily at home with my 6-year-old kindergartener, and they’ve been a fantastic tool for building early reading skills. The cards are designed for ages 4 and up, and they’re perfect for young learners just starting to recognize sight words. These are very handy to have around when you have a little person learning to read. We match them up with the words he's working on in school that week, make silly sentences, and pick out our favorite tricky words to practice. I just bought a second pack to keep in the car.

I keep these in my car for my daughter. She gets bored on car journey is pretty easily and this has been a good way to keep her on top of her game over this summer holiday. They come at a great prize, like you really can’t beat that. But several of the cards came stuck together, just the only downfall

I use these cards for teaching my 2 year old to read. I like the various site words. The colors help to introduce one new word every week. I like to call the words out, show them to my toddler and place them all on the floor for her to find the words.

These cards have helped my preschooler learn to read. We practice nightly. The cards are durable and can be wiped if sticky hands touch them.

I must say that this is really helping my daughter learn her words faster. And let's not mention that these cards are not super expensive, so you get value with a good price. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to make learning fun for their child.
