No they are not, Google's Titan branded keys use a custom firmware written by Google that is different from these. Physically, aside from cosmetic difference, they are the same though.

The white unit worked on my iPad Air, but I had to connect it to the iPad's USB-C port (using a USB-C to micro USB cable).

how do you connect to macbook Air with no USB port?

You can get a usb-c dongle that has usb/hdmi on it and use that for the key if your air doesn't have NFC, the other is a bluetooth key which your air definitely has.
