Fantastic Skillets...Huge Bang for Your Buck!
Fabulous set! Very heavy and well made. I read reviews on a ton of Ceramic Skillets and these had the best reviews. I like the heat ring and the conduction design distributes heat very evenly. I still love my cast iron and use them for anything that needs to go in the oven or frying, however, many things cannot be cooked in cast iron so these are the ticket! The pans are thick and I like the black color interior coating as well as the Tuscany exterior design. Before you pay a ton for Henckels and All Clad be sure to check these out. If you want skillets to put in the oven then you shouldn't purchase these. I seasoned mine and they work perfect....no sticking whatsoever. There are no rivets which makes them very easy to clean. I have never put a skillet or pan of any kind in my dishwasher but they say they are dishwasher safe. Also, they say you can use metal utensils but I use silicone utensils just be on the safe side and I line them with thick dish towels when storing to avoid scratching the interior surface. This set is very high quality and you pay a fraction of the cost for the entire set as you would for one 12" name brand skillet. I have no regrets!

6 months of use and still strong
I was excited to try the ceramic coated fry pans as I had heard you could use metal on them and it wouldn't cause a problem. After 6 months, I find I still use plastic/wood mostly so I cannot say how the coating would hold up under heavy metal utensil use. One problem I have seen with the coating is along the rims, where they rub against each other when I put them away. I am seeing VERY small bits have some wear to the metal underneath; however, since it is not in the cooking area, and they are very tiny areas, I am not too concerned. Cooking with these pans has been great, and clean up is so easy. The only time I really had to scrub was after sauteeing asparagus in olive oil in the large pan (I wash my pans only by hand). For some reason it took a couple of washings to really get that 'seasoned' part to come out. When I was shopping for the pans, I was looking for a good product at a good value. While I wasn't thrilled with the floral design I felt I could live with it for the price (the little one doesn't have the design!). Overall, I am extremely happy with the quality for the price. If I see any more wear on the coating I will return to update.

like the pans but need to make some changes
after many uses it is still nonstick. the only issue I have is that the handles are too heavy when using the skillets on a stove with coil burners.

Beautiful and functional
After installing a new smooth-top stove my wife and I decided to purchase non-stick stove-top pans to replace our cast iron frying pans which we both loved and hated to give up. Our experience with non-stick pans over the years had been to buy, try, and throw away due to sticking or peeling. After much research I purchased these and have finally found a satisfactory replacement for our beloved cast iron, which has been relegated to storage. When used properly there is absolutely no sticking, and cleanup in warm, soapy water is a breeze. They are significantly lighter in weight, heat evenly, and are much pretter to look at than the cast iron. I love to show them off to guests who come into the kitchen when I'm doing breakfast. We have not run them through the dishwasher because of the ease of cleanup, and avoid using metal utensils even though the manufacturer says either can be done. After several months these pans are showing no signs of wear and tear. Making food look pretty makes it taste better. Maybe cooking in pretty cookware does the same.

Great item for about 6-9 months, then a great disappointment
As you'll see from my earlier review, I was very favorably impressed with these pans initially. But "it's too early too say how they will hold up" turns out to have been very important. After very substantial use, the large pan is no longer non-stick. Eggs, bacon, hamburger, steak -- all stick and have to be worked loose in cooking. (This does not happen so much on the medium pan, which has seen a lot less use, but it is becoming an increasing problem there.) This happens even when I have lightly pre-oiled the pan. Once the pan is filled with fat from cooking, the problem disappears (on the bottom -- but the un-coated sides will still grab any meat that come in contract). My pans have always been hand-washed with a Teflon-backed sponge, and have not been subjected to metal implements or to rapid cooling after cooking, so I do not think that I've done anything beyond normal use to hurt them . I note one other review that mentions loss of non-stick property over time. Bottom line -- a great item for about 6-9 months, then a great disappointment. ---- These pans truly are non-stick. I haven't set out to see how easy it is to destroy the cooking surfaces, and in fact use the same plastic and wooden utensils that I used on my Teflon pans. So it's too early to say how they will hold up. As other have noted, the smallest pan is over-balanced by its handle; until you have something in it it is unstable at best. This is the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. As to the designs on the outside, I'm a function over form sort of person, so I can take them or leave them.

Nice sturdy pan set lacking instructions for use
I am writing this review in exchange for a free pan set. I also should say that I agreed to this exchange because I recently got quite disappointed with my formerly beloved Tramontina pans (the coating started to come off after only a year of gentle use without metal cookware and fully following instructions). I wanted to see if these pans would hold up better than the Tramontina ones did. This is a nice pan set, it is "made in Korea" which I personally prefer over "made in China" as Korea seems to care more about the environment. The pans are made from aluminum with ceramic coating so that no harmful chemicals should be able to get into your food unless the coating breaks (I'll update my review if this ever happens but the coating seems very good and strong). Given they are made from aluminum I was surprised by how heavy they feel. Their weight makes them feel more substantial than my Tramontina pans which are also made from ceramic coated aluminum. The Flamekiss pans feel almost as heavy as cast-iron pans when the lid is on. The set comes with two lids which seem to fit well on the pans (unlike I have read in other reviews). The pans heat up well with surprisingly even heat-distribution on my gas burners. This fact is presumably connected to their weight. The clean-up is very easy. The handle doesn't get hot as is the case with some other brands. I made some salmon tonight for dinner in the large pan and it tasted fabulous (seemed better than in my old pans). Last night I used the large pan for preparing tomato sauce and I found it a little small for the amount I usually make for our family of 4. Other pans the same size seem to have more room for food as their bottom isn't as big and heavy. The longer I have these pans the more I love them. I find myself only wanting to cook with these instead of the Tramontina ones. They just seem less hassle as they are sturdier and the coating appears to be stronger. The reason I give it only 4 stars is this: The Flamekiss pan set did not come with instructions for safe usage as my Tramontina pans did. Can I use them on the stove on the high heat setting without doing damage to them in the long run? Should I have seasoned them as I had to do with my Tramontina pans? Can I really use metal cookware without doing damage to them as indicated by some of the pictures seen on the website (I haven't and I won't but I am wondering)? They are dishwasher safe but is it rather recommended to hand-wash them? Overall, I am quite pleased with these pans and would have kept them even if I had paid the full price they usually cost.

Beautiful to look at and great, even cooking.
I love these pans! Knowing what I do about Teflon, I have thrown out all of my old cookware and have been gradually replacing with stainless and ceramic. I will say the ceramic is still non-stick but I find they are easier to clean soon after cooking with them, and I use a scrubby sponge to clean mine. They are beautiful and sturdy and cook very evenly. I have a flat/ceramic cooktop and previous pans I've owned wobble and don't sit flat. Not the case with these. Also have to mention how great the seller is. We had a little problem with the coating on one pan after about 3 months of use and after contacting them about it they quickly sent me a free replacement. They were awesome to work with.

Flamekiss 5-piece Cookware Set is Excellent!
Tired of the TV-brand green pans? ( I bought a few to replace my 50 year old wedding gifts of Revere, Mirro ,and T-FAL) In less than 6 months, the lining started to wear off and the bottom of the pans were badly scratched. So I looked on Amazon and found the Flamekiss 5-piece set for less than half the price of some of the "prestige" or cook-sponsored name brands. I have had them for 4 months now and I think they are the best pans I ever owned. I love the heat-proof handles, the even heating throughout the pan, the non-stick lining and especially the glass lids with the steam opening. The three sizes fit all my needs...from just my hubby and myself to the holidays with 16 children and grandchildren lined up for breakfast. My only regret originally was the lack of a glass cover for the smallest frypan. I called Flamekist and they directed me to a similar glass cover with a steam hole for less than $10. I told Flamekiss they should offer a 6-piece set so all their great pans have a cover. .
