Completely updated the look of my ceiling fans for just a few dollars! I think it even makes my outdated curly-q CFL bulbs look acceptable. I wish I had thought of these before spending way too much money changing out some of my other ceiling fans.

The product was easy to install on our existing ceiling fan. The color and coating matches perfectly with the current personality of our shared living spaces. The cages were sturdier than expected (positive surprise), without being too heavy. They were also a little longer than expected, but it worked out perfectly since we are planning to upgrade to bigger blades on the fan.

These worked perfect on my existing pendant lights in my home. On my lights these are gravity mounted so I found no need to screw them on but the cages are a bit flexible if you need to open them up a bit like I did. The coating seems consistent throughout the entire cage and they seem like they are going to hold up well. I've already received many compliments about how they look.I used the addition cage on a lamp I built and it fit perfect onto a porcelain lamp fixture as described. I did check it on a standard lamp fixture with a switch and the cage is too large to screw down tightly onto it.

Overall, these lamp guards are pretty cool. Given they come out to $5/each, they are a good deal. The cages are covered with a rubbery/platic coating, which isn't bad. Although they aren't welded perfectly straight, they still look good. I used these to make a pair of wall sconces for our fireplace by combining them with some black iron pipe and an Edison bulb for that gas lamp look.The Bad: On every one of these, 1 of the 2 screws was completely stripped out on the tip. So if you removed the screw, it really wasn't possible to put it back in. To remedy this, I removed both stock screws and purchased new stainless steel 8-32 screws that were 1" long. I then ran an 8-32 thread tap through the screw holes to cut new threads. This worked awesome. The 8-32 screws were slightly larger in diameter than the stock screws, but I didn't have to drill anything out.

These fit great and look awesome. My wife loves them.

Really helped our old ceiling fan look more modern! A cheaper way to “renovate” instead of buying a whole new ceiling fan.

I was that person who got up on my stepladder and pulled the globes off my old, very blah frosted kitchen ceiling fan (because rental home), only to realize these are tiny.Don’t be me.These truly are NOT for regular size globes, it’s like trying to squeeze into a pair of jeans 3 sizes too small. You know it won’t work but they’re so cute!In the end, I noticed that an Edison bulb light I already had ($10 lightning deal on Amazon and coincidentally shade-less) was the right size. I stretched this over and it fits nicely. Shame on me for not measuring, but also, the product photos are not realistic; you sadly can’t just squeeze or screw them in correctly to an old ugly light fixture and expect them to transform it, unless it’s an Edison bulb fixture 💡

This product exceeded my expectations.I had no idea if they would look good in person, and I am happy to report that they do. Very impressive quality and design for a 4 pack of these at such a low price!When I first applied these on my ceiling fan I thought that they looked like they hung too low (See photo #2), but with a little finagling I was able to get them wide enough to be pushed back even further up the lamp sockets for the desired look (See photo #3).I also purchased some warm-lit Edison bulbs on Amazon to complete the look. This ceiling fan looks much better than it originally did in my opinion. Sleek, modern, classy..I definitely recommend these!
