Great Product - Pilot 12 Lite
I've read lots of reviews but not a lot of them provide details about power usage but I have in this review. My configuration is a Dream Station 2 with the Pilot12 Lite power supply. When testing I used a fully charged Pilot12 Lite that was not plugged into wall outlet, meaning it was not configured as a UPS. This entire multi day test was on that single charge of the Pilot12. I turned off the humidifier and heated tube for this test as I wanted to see the best case performance of the Pilot12. I also only plugged the CPAP into the Pilot12 right before use and unplugged it when I woke up so it wouldn't drain the power unnecessarily. The first night my CPAP ran from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am with no problems. The second night it ran from 11:00 to 6:30 with no problems. The third night it ran from 10:00 to 4:50 at which time it ran out of power. So I essentially got about 2 and 3/4 nights worth of power out of the battery on a single charge. This was indoors in a house that's probably 50 degrees at night, no ac just open windows. I like it cold when I sleep. I am very pleased with the performance, this will absolutely work for an overseas red eye flight or a camping trip especially if you get the solar panel chargers which I plan on getting. One more fyi, the Pilot12 means 12 volts and the pilot24 means 24 volts. So make sure you get the correct one for your machine. Hope this review helps.

Opened box item - expected NEW- Updated
Originally disappointed because the battery came having already been opened and I was unsure of what it had been through. Happy to say this battery is incredible, I use a Philips Dreamstation and I can report the following. After receiving it I brought it to a full charge and in both situations I ONLY used the battery and did not bridge wall power to battery then to CPAP#1. First test I used battery and my CPAP was set to air pressure = 5 and Humidifier = 1. I got 4 hours use out of the battery and had to wake up and connect the CPAP back to wall power.#2. Second test use after fully charging it again I set my CPAP to air pressure = 5 and set Humidifier to "0" - on this setting I got just over 3 nights (26 hours) CPAP use from it - incredible and far exceeded my expectations. The unit did come with a cord to get from the battery to your CPAP and I use the CPAP power cord to charge the battery. Also this battery DOES allow you to use the battery as a bridge in case of power outage i.e. CPAP power cord to Battery and Battery cored to CPAP - then if your power supply from the wall gets interrupted your battery automatically kicks in. I bought for an international trip to a country that has frequent power outages, but this will also be my new camping supply instead of a generator. There's also a USB on the front that allows you to charge other items as needed.

Unable to power up the CPAP machine
I tested this product at home by using my CPAP machine cord to charge the battery and DC output cable to power the CPAP and it worked fine. This weekend I took the fully charge battery and DC output cable to a camping trip and later at 12 am I connected the battery to the CPAP machine. But my CPAP machine never started and display a message incompatible Power supply. No matter how many times I tried but it never powered up my CPAP machine. I was helpless and slept without a CPAP machine. This product caused me a real pain and endangered my life.

Better than expected.
The battery worked as advertised. Easy to install, charge, and operate. I've used it camping and it works great. Lighter than expected. I'm very satisfied with it.

Works great!
The battery does not come with a charger... but no problem! You use the same AC adapter as what you normally use for your CPAP. I love that. Next, the battery has a USB port. So, it also charges your phone. It can charge your phone and run the CPAP simultaneously. I just used the battery to run my CPAP on a plane... no problem sleeping for six hours, and the battery indicator only went down by one light. Then, I went camping in a tent. One night I slept a continuous 9 hours, and the battery charge indicator once again only went down by one light. If you hold down the on-switch, a small LED lights up, which helps with things in the dark (like tent camping). When you do have power, you can charge the battery and use the output simultaneously... so the battery works as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Fantastic product!

Easy to use, lasted two nights
The battery connects to the output of the DreamStation power supply for charging which was less then two hours. A cable was included for connecting the battery to the DreamStation. Also included was a pouch for storing the battery. You must disconnect the DreamStation humidifier to get a long run time. With the humidifier attach I got 2.5 hours of run time. With the humidifier remove I got 15.5 hours over a two night period. Just make sure you disconnect the battery during the daytime to avoid additional battery drain by the DreamStation. A great product for two nights without available power. There are three options for recharging 1. Using the DreamStation power supply (need 110v). 2. Optional car charger (which I plan on using). 3 Optional solar panel.

Not sure about this yet….
Battery works most of the time. But the level gauge is not accurate. During a test, the battery took 22 hours to used 50% of the charge. And then the remaining 50% under the same test load took 8 hours. For the cost of this item and the intended usage in medical, the usage gauge should be more accurate.

Worked seamlessly.
Load shedding (electrical blackouts) frequent in South Africa. Used it on recent trip there. Unit worked seamlessly during power outages without any fuss. Also compact, so useful for travel.

Best thing for camping or travelling with a Respironics cpap
For backup power, travelling and multi-day camping with a respironics cpap machine. I just did a test recharging it with an 80 W portable solar panel. The good: great size! I looked at other option and they were all very bulky (easily ten times or more) mostly because I was looking at power banks (for AC power) that could power a cpap for at least 10 hours. This one has one DC outlet that is exactly designed for the cpap I have. Also good: Two nights of power. I charged it fully on arrival then had it hooked between the cpap and AC power for a week. Then did a test powering cpap until battery drained (no heated tube or water tank). Power lasted about 15 hours at P = 9 cmH2O.Recharged it to 100% capacity in about 6 hours with a portable (foldable) 80w solar panel. The not do good: the cable to the cpap could be longer and have two L-shaped ends. That way I could have more flexibility placing the pack on my bedside table. Also the power button can be tricky to reach once all cables are plugged in. It may have been better to have the power button on the far left instead on the power-in plug. But this is a minor detail.

ease of use
Very simple to hook up. I leave it hooked up in line on my cpap. Trialed it and it does what it is supposed to.Makes life simpler and more secure.

Great purchase, very happy
Used on long haul flights to and from Australia, but also came in very useful during power outages caused by bush fires whilst in Australia
