Figaro vs Tata
After comparing Tata and Figaro extra virgin olive oils side by side, I noticed clear differences in quality, which I’ve highlighted below: 1. Colour: Figaro has a darker, richer hue, while Tata is noticeably lighter. This difference is clearly visible in the side-by-side spoon test (see image). A deeper color often indicates a fuller presence of natural antioxidants and a less refined product. 2. Aroma: Figaro has a stronger, more authentic olive aroma. This enhances both the fragrance and flavor of dishes. Tata’s smell is much milder and doesn't bring out the same depth. 3. Viscosity: Figaro’s oil is thicker and more viscous, which is typical of a good quality EVOO. Tata feels thinner and less robust. 4. Bottle Quality: Even though Figaro’s 250ml bottle is plastic, it is sturdy and well-designed and has a darker hue which preserves the oil better. Tata’s 1L plastic bottle feels flimsy and came slightly creased, which doesn’t give confidence in its storage quality. Overall Verdict: Figaro stands out clearly in terms of aroma, color, texture, and packaging. I feel it offers a more authentic extra virgin olive oil experience. Definitely switching back to Figaro after trying Tata.
