I bought this to use with my ElBraille, a Windows 10-based Braille tablet I purchased several months ago. I quickly realized that I'm going to enjoy using it with my iPhone as well. So, what makes this little guy so useful for a blind person?For starters, I love the voice prompts that let you know when the power is on or off and when the speaker is in Bluetooth mode. I also appreciate the fact that the manufacturer answered all of my questions and sent me a user manual as a PDF file that was quite accessible... For the most part, anyway! :) <Smile>Where other features are concerned, I'm thrilled with the long battery life! I do a lot of my office work on my ElBraille, and the speaker on it is a joke! I'm happy to find a fairly small speaker with great audio for both music and my screen reader with a 20-hour battery life!The only thing I wish the Nyne Boost had is the ability to have it paired with 2 devices at once. That way I could switch between the ElBraille and the iPhone a bit easier. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like I have to disconnect one when I want to use the other.Having said that, the audio quality and the affordability of this gem makes it a great choice! I haven't taken it on a trip yet, so I'll update this review later when I know how it works for travel. It is a bit heavy, so we'll see how it goes! :) <Smile>

Excellent. I can’t believe how great the sound is it is a very sturdy unit. My first Blue Tooth speaker very easy to set up. And they did include a charger cord. With it. Everybody is making such a big deal about not having a charger cord when they are so easy to obtain and they are very in expensive I put a full charge on it. It up with my iPhone and a place so incredible and the idea that it is so portable that I can put it in my bag and take it with me also I am slightly hard of hearing so the sound on this is important to me

All I wanted was to be able to play audio books on my PC and have them come out on a speaker at the opposite corner of the house. After installing the necessary, very inexpensive computer software, (sold separately) I was in business! This speaker is amazing. Great sound quality, heavy duty construction, and LONG RANGE reception! I love this speaker and highly recommend it. However it's very annoying that it came with no charging cord. I could not charge it with my cell phone charger but tried the charger for my tablet and presto. It charged from empty to full in 1 hour and 20 minutes. Great buy and great value for the price. This speaker has great sound and seems to hold a charge for a very long time. I haven't submerged it in water, but it has been doused a few times and no problem.The only problem I have with the thing is a very loud "gong" sound and electronic voice that announces whenever the speaker is "Powering on.", "Powering off.", "Connecting to Bluetooth", "Lost connection to Bluetooth", "Running low on charge". At the least it is loud, interruptive and annoying. At the worst it is startling - the music ends and you forget about the speaker for a little while, and suddenly "Gong! Etc." Imagine concentrating on something important or even dangerous (maybe using a power tool) and having someone suddenly yelling in your ear? - it's kind of like that.If you are listening to relaxing music, falling asleep, playing music for a class or otherwise trying to keep things mellow - suddenly there is this loud electronic voice and gong effect.Since it is submersible, maybe a bucket of water nearby could be the solution in some cases.I have e-mailed the manufacturer three times - through their website - to see if there is any way to disable this stupid feature, but I have never received a response.I don't understand why the blue power light isn't enough to indicate whether the thing is turned on or not.All that being said - I really like this speaker! (Sound, portability, ability to hold a charge, price - all 5+ stars.)

This works real well. Gets plenty loud. A friend has one that he brings over and connects to his lap top when he wants us to hear some new music. Seems well made. I've been using it for two months now and no problems. I like the voice prompts. You can turn them off but, I like the immediate reassurance. "Bluetooth connection successful." The battery lasts a long time. I've let it go a couple of weeks and it still fires right up. It sits on the kitchen shelf and I use it for pod casts and music when I'm in there working. Recommended

Very happy with this purchase. Came with charging cord, unlike what I read in some reviews, I only had to come up with the power cube for the USB connector. Sound quality is good, but I’m not a loud as it can go kind of guy, so can’t speak for that aspect. What I am most impressed with is the heft of the speaker, it is solid, rugged, and has a quality feel. This speaker will do everything I will ever need it to do, and probably will do things I’ll never use (like charge my phone), so as far as I’m concerned it has been money well spent.
