Fun toy
Assembly takes less than 5 minutes if you do it right. I put the track pieces on upside down the first time, so I thought it was really cheap, but once i figured out how they went into place it stayed together really well. My daughter's 4 years old and has a ton of little cars. She has been racing her cars over a half hour already and seems to really enjoy it. Might not be too exciting for older kids, as the ramp is not real long or steep.Works fine with Hotwheels type cars too.

Design is very bad.
I bought this for my 5 year old for Christmas. Most of the cars playsets we have bought have been worth the money and of good quality. However, this is not one of them. The two ramps or gray colored race strips that go between the starting platform and finishing blue platform are poorly designed as far as connecting to one another. You have very small holes in the gray ramps and they are suppose to sit ever so slightly on small bumps on the starting ramp and landing base. They are not permanently attached and everytime you race the cars down the track or barely bump the track, the vibrations move the ramps or bases and they either fall, or you have to reset the whole thing. The tracks can be a little confusing because you can actually install the upside down and not know it. The directions are not very clear but eventually you see that the tracks will only work for the most part one way. If there had been a permanent latching or locking device , then this would be a different story as the cars actually land across the finish line as they are suppose to. Now, if you really want this thing to work right, don't use the full size cars that you are suppose to. Use the cars drifters which are the smaller version of the disney cars lineup. They have the ball at the bottom and they fly down this thing fast and really jump at the end. Plus they are small and light weight and do not cause vibrations or movements to the pieces when the go down the track. That's the adjustments we have had to make anyway. The biggest positives that come with this set are really the two vehicles you get. I hope this helps.

Feels Cheap
I'm not impressed with this at all.I let my son pick this out as a prize that he had earned, and I'm really wishing now I'd talked him out of it. On the plus side, the toy doesn't require batteries and is easy to put together. However, the materials feel very cheap. The plastic is very thin and I'm not expecting this to hold up long at all. The jumping action is fun, but I can't get the "photo finish" lenticular picture to work at all. Played with it with the cars, without the cars--it doesn't work like it's supposed to. Also, the track is wide enough to fit McQueen, but any of the wider cars aren't going to fit. Francisco, the one car he really wanted to race against Lightning, is too wide for the track. It's okay, but I don't think it's worth what I paid for it and I'm not expecting it to last long. Very disappointed with the quality of this product.
