OneGrill Universal Complete Grill Rotisserie Kit - 37” x 5/16” w/Cordless Motor (Chrome Motor)

Got it today one week after ordering it.- All parts were included correctly- Instructions are thorough and make sense- Install was easy- Finish on parts is really nice. Parts have a good weight to them and seem like they are going to last.- Motor is noisy, but not loud. You can have a regular conversation over it with no problem.- Free shipping took 7 days to arrive, but box was in good enough condition.- One thing to note is that it has a DC input jack so if you do have a power source you can get an adapter and plug it in. Heck you could probably use a car battery somehow with the right adapters.- The motor case is metal, but the battery cover is plastic. It does not face the heat. Should be OK.Btw - that black thing in the picture is a handle for the end of the rod.Installed but not used, will update with results in a week or so.

Was skeptical of battery power but works great. Balance weight provided offsets weight distribution so motor doesn't have to work hard with a turkey.

Very complete set. All stainless except for the battery door, but that is no problem. The motor is quite powerful but out of the box a little rough and loud. As another reviewer suggested, I removed the cover and lubed the totally dry gears and axels. I used a high quality gun oil and it smoothed right out and was considerably quieter. The universal mount fit fine but I had to tinker the slots to get proper clearance for the spit. I love the balance weight, which will balance the spit even with considerable off-center of the meat. The sides of my grill get so hot that the grill side of the case actually turned blue like motorcycle exhaust pipes. to protect the motor from this heat, I made a spacer for the mount out of square aluminum tubing and the motor now stays cold.

This is a very nice set. All the pieces are high quality. The reason I knocked off one star is because the battery powered motor is really loud. I mean, I don't want to be anywhere near this thing when it is running. I actually don't use the OneGrill motor. Intead I use an AC motor from a previous BBQ that is whisper quiet. I did like the option of buying the AC Power Supply from the OneGrill website for $11.

I will say that the skewer rod is very nice, the one I had before bent at the middle with a 6 lb chicken. This one held up in that department. The motor is very noisy and the cover for the battery plate is cheap plastic. I expected a better motor.

a bit confusing to get right height but works well

The rotisserie was touted as being universal. I bought it for my daughter’s Weber E-310 gas grill as a house warming gift. There was no way I could make it work on this unit due to the grill lid interference issues. Do your homework before purchasing.

Very well made and powerful enough, but i experienced the same as others the gear box is dry, no lubricants at all and it ground to a stop in 15 mins. I took apart, really easy, and used a little car engine oil applied over all the gears in the housing. Wow what a difference, runs as smooth as silk and really works well. Make sure you set up the balance arm correctly and your rotisserie will turn effortlessly and smoothly and a lot quieter to.
