This book deserves 10 stars! It is absolutely fantastic. It informs the victim of Medical Malpractice about everything involved in the process of the patients Malpractice claim. This is a book for the patient, not the doctor. I found volumes of books written for doctors but finally I found this jewel that is for me, a victim of Medical Malpractice. My case is in its inception and I wanted a book to study to help me understand the process of a suit. I found it here. Written in a clear, concise form, yet with much expert information, I know exactly now what to expect. I also know what I, the victim, can do to help prepare me for the whole process. This book would be a tremendous help to anyone who questions the quality of the medical care they (or a loved one) have received, and is unsure whether it merits legal action. Mr. Janet gives critical, credible information in a straightforward, easily understandable fashion. We all need the reality check this book provides. It drives home the point that we are all responsible for advocating for ourselves when it comes to health care, and it prepares us to do so effectively.

I found this easy to read and understand. The examples used to illustrate medical mistakes and how they were uncovered were eye-opening, especially the one about the nurse altering documents and the use of an FBI expert to uncover the fraud. I would recommend this guide for anyone thinking about filing such a lawsuit, or who's already involved in one. The more consumers understand about what's going on the better.
