Choose Them Wisely: Thoughts Become Things! Paperback – June 15, 2010

The title of my review was one of the most important quotes that I scribbled in my notes. Boy, that alone was worth the price of the book. The context of that quote was that so many are always waiting for better things here on earth and beyond and the author says that's simply the wrong way to think. I happen to agree with him. There are so many great, uplifting ideas packed in the terrific book. It's one that you should read every few years at least, let the ideas sink in over time. In summary, a highly valuable addition to your self development library.

Choose Them Wisely: Thoughts Become Things!  is a magical book! Any time you need inspiration, just open it to any page and you'll find a message that EXACTLY fits your current situation!It is well written in Mike Dooley's rich style and reading it through is a deight. Still, the magic of the book continues to amaze and inspire me. It's a perfect companion book to  Infinite Possibilities: The Art of Living Your Dreams In case you had any doubts, this is a favorable review. :-)Gregg Sanderson

About a year ago my mother and I were arguing about all the things that i half accomplished in my life and she got a little upset and yelled "just do something" - that ended the conversation, 3 days later i checked into a battered womens shelter (not because of her) and decided to take control of my life and DO something.When I got the book in the mail, I was so excited to open it up and it opened to the page titled "Just do Something"In this last year after walking away from everything, the abusive marriage, the home, the car, the beach lifestyle, the boat, the great paying job and starting over in a town 400 miles away where I knew NO one in a shelter with 70 other women, i had a lot of somethings to do, and a long way up to grow.I know own my own very successful business doing what I love best which is helping other businesses grow and thrive, I have a truck and a car and a scooter, my dog back, my dignity back, my pride back, and I am "doing something everyday to improve the value of my life to others"this book is just one of those things that I can run too in a moment of doubt or confusion and find a quick witted answer or laugh or even great advice and hope for myself or someone else.Truly an invaluable book!

There are many great avatars out there who teach about the purpose of life--that we are here to add to the universe, that we are worthy, and that when we use the law of attraction correctly, life can be spectacular. Among my favorites is Abraham-Hicks, who speaks from the non-physical. Abraham's teachings are perfect, but coming from the non-physical, can sound at times like a how-to instruction manual. The steps are laid out clearly and simply, but after a while, can sound a bit heavy. Mike Dooley's "Choose Them Wisely" addresses the same topics, but with all the panache, poetry and verve that at times is missing from Abraham. Mike reminds us that we are divine beings, that we are fantastically loved, and that we came here for the sheer joy of the experience of life, be it good or bad. After reading about 10 pages, I started to happily recall some things I had lost somewhere along the line after childhood: a healthy respect and love for myself, an awareness that life is out there just waiting for all of us to dig into it and enjoy it, and a wonderment for this whole universe, of which each person, star, rock, plant or animal plays an enormous part. I read one or two of the uplifting passages in this book every day--just to help me remember who I really am, and to stay "high" all day long!

I am a big fan of Mike Dooley. This book is a series of notes from the universe and is useful for when you need a quick spiritual pick-me-up. It's the kind of book you read in small doses but is readable and inspiring.

I truly love this book! It's filled with nuggets of inspiration, timeless truths and spiritual nudges that boil down to the idea that thoughts become things. It's a fun read and can be opened to any page for daily inspiration or that gentle reminder that we live in a creative universe that hears all our thoughts and words. I enjoyed reading it and suggest it to anyone interested in harnessing the power of the Universal Law. great inspirational book but i had so much trouble enjoying it with ink getting all over my hands and clothes because i was a fool and bought the hardback edition... it's so cheaply put together.
