Hello Get involved in the process, the experience and the wonderful flavors of cold brew coffee. The Hario Mizudashi Coffee Pot will change your experience of coffee. It produces a mellow, delicious brew with much less acidity. To brew coffee, you need freshly roasted coffee grounded to coarse size. Yes you can use it with Hot water, but this Japanese coffee maker is ideally meant and designed for Cold Brew. Once the cold brew coffee concentrate is ready, you can add hot water or Milk to the same to enjoy coffee which is mellow and less acidic. In Japenese "Mizudashi means: Cold brewed coffee prevents the grounds from being oxidized by heat and allows to extract the full flavour of the coffee beans and hence this craft coffee maker is most suitable for Cold Brew. How to Brew: Depending upon your coffee, its origin and roast, you need to steep from 8 hours to 24 hours either at room temperature or let it sit in a fridge with coffee grind completely immersed in to water. Experiment both ways and find your sweet spot. It's a versatile craft coffee maker and with proper planning, the coffee concentrate made after a worth wait can lasts for couple of days.
