Thunder Maker Spring Drum by Turtle Island Imports

Fine seller with a nifty product. Highly recommended! This little widget generates all sorts of unusual sounds from thunder to a muted roar to a weird wah-wah effect.

This little cylinder just amazes everyone. They pick it up and wiggle it and this HUGE rumble comes out of the cardboard tube. It's like "the mouse that roared". I keep it on a shelf in the living room and people of all ages just get a kick of playing with it. I'm 70 years old and my 5 year old grand-daughter and I enjoy giving it a shake now and then- just for kicks. My son is a song writer and he has used it for an interesting background effect on a recent music recording. No home is complete without one- especially if you have a sense of fun and play.

Good price and fast delivery!! But broke after only third time playing with it. Not sturdy.

Kids can't wait for their turn when I pass this around preschool group music classes. I do supervise because the spring is so bouncy and kids get crazy, so we keep it to the ear and I block adjacent children's eyes from the spring. It's very sturdy, so in spite of tugs at the spring, against which I caution the children before we begin, it hasn't broken yet. Pass it around with a rain stick and double the fun :)

This little cylinder has quite the special effects. It's beautiful and fun to use, but also carries with it a certain kind of power -- or maybe that's just the kid in me remembering experiences with thunder and feeling my guts tingle. It makes you feel that when you use this simple device, you are actually conversing with the Thunder Gods and soon, very soon, it will be raining and booming.

Was looking for a different musical gift for my nephews...received this in the mail and did not want to give it away. What a different type of instrument..if you call it that. It makes awesome sounds for such a simple contraption. Speedy service. Thank you

Very poor quality sound, not much volume either. Very much overpriced. Would not buy another one at any price. Period.
