Music Theory for Young Children 1: Bk. 1 Paperback – 11 Sept. 2010

This is an amazing book my daughter loves doing it it has a nice balance of coloring/drawing and stickers.She is learning music theory whilst having fun. I would definitely recommend this book and I have already ordered the next two.

I bought this book for my 3 1/2 year old. She has really taken to the piano and I wanted to introduce theory. This book was great for not only music but tracing, colour coding, observation. She loved it especially the stickers and had no bother understanding any of it. We are no on the second book. She looks to do a bit every day! I def recommend this set.

Got this for my 8 year old son after it was recommended by a friend. He needed reinforcement of note names etc and loves drawing. So this book is just perfect and his piano teacher loves it too. I love it as he enjoys doing it, thinks it's easy and is getting loads of reinforcement as he whizzes through it and it is helping his piano playing and understanding of music.Would definitely recommend.

This series of books is simply marvellous for young beginners. A little information presented at a time (for older beginners it's better to use graded books THEORY FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS), bright colours, lovely pictures and, above all, STICKERS! My pupils ask me for extra pages to complete at home. Teacher's dream!

Came up to expectation

Great for younger children who love stickers to reinforce basic musical ideas. There are also pages for writing and tracing notes and clefs etc. It is great fun and doesn't seem like work at all. I would use this book with 5-8 year old children.

I have used these books with a couple of my younger pupils aged 5 and they really excel with them.They learn to play with both hands straight away, and learning is kept fun with the use of stickers. I use the Lesson and Theory book together.
