I love amaco glazes, and this one doesn’t disappoint. I especially appreciate that my pottery comes out with a nice even satin sheen, many other brands look uneven and mottled.

It is what it says it is - reliably matte black
It's hard to find a matte black glaze that actually fires matte black. Usually they look more like "oil rubbed bronze" or a variation of browns and blacks, or they are mottled and intermittently shiny. This matte black fires Cone 4 as matte black.

Trustworthy glaze
Always been happy with this glaze, bought it from Amazon because it’s was fastest when I was in a rush. Got to me right on time! Definitely more expensive here than other site but the speed and free shipping was worth it in this scenario.
