Purchased this product because it was one of the few cabinets available with decent shelf depth at relatively low cost (you get what you pay for...).The whole piece is of not-the-greatest quality (some of the laminate finish is already coming off the corners) but that's not a huge deal for us as we're tucking this underneath other furniture.The hardware used to assemble is of extremely low quality. One of the cams snapped while attempting to turn which resulted in a headache and time suck (we happened to have another cam on hand). The predrilled holes for the hinges were improperly placed—on the plus side, drilling my own did not crack or otherwise damage the laminate. Lock installation went smoothly and seems secure enough to keep the kids out.Not the easiest piece to assemble because of the hardware and predrill issues, but the piece feels solid enough and works great in our space and for our needs

I AM ASSUMING THAT THE CABINET IS IN GOOD SHAPE AFTER SHIPPING, BUT I DID NOT OPEN THE LARGE PACKAGE YET---NEED TO GET ONE OF THE WORKERS HERE AT MY SENIOR RESIDENCE TO ASSEMBLE IT FOR ME WHEN THEY HAVE TIME. THE BOX LOOKS A LITTLE BEAT UP, BUT THE INSIDE PROBABLY IS OK..... HOPE IT TURNS OUT GOOD. ADAIR SHERWOOD

Many missing holes needed for assembly, missing screws but thankfully my husband is handy and was able to finish assembling it with the help of a drill and screws we had from other household projects. Sadly, despite the nice appearance of the finished product, it was not sturdy at all due to the flimsy back panels provided. We remedied this by ditching the panels and installing a piece of plywood on the back. All in all, with our modifications it's a nice looking, sturdy cabinet that serves its intended purpose. I'm just pissed that I spent so much money on something that was so poorly crafted. Definitely do not recommend unless you've got a drill and extra materials - including a sheet of plywood - on hand.

I got this to lock up items so my daughter couldn't get to them and it works good.
