Bought for Radar plotting in preparation for my OOW! bought a few from chandlers before, but the cork really makes the difference in zero slip! great product!

Reasonably good parallel action ruler.
Reasonably good parallel action ruler. Clear plastic with protractor markings printed on the lower surface and not engraved, I expect these will wear off much sooner because of this. Marketed by American company but made in China hence the cheaper production I guess.

Excellent set! Having the slightly larger parallels is well worth it. Replaced my 12” with this 15” and will never look back. Excellent quality, easy to use and durable.

Perfect. Easy to read, nice and smooth. Used it for sailing classes and worked perfectly. Only thing I would caution buyers about be careful of the size, I like the larger size but some chart books are smaller and it doesn’t fit easily.

These parallel rules by Weems & Plath seem to be ubiquitous in navigation classes and on the water. They have little cork pads on the bottom to help prevent slipping on the paper chart. I chose the model with the protractor scale and that feature comes in handy sometimes but is not always needed.
