The book was so much more than I expected! I had hoped for a good text on grammar, but this book also looks at the subtle nuances of ASL, and at the customs and etiquette of its use. Strongly recommended for anyone who wants to learn the rudiments of this language or become proficient.

I had to buy this book for class, it is very helpful. It breaks down the linguistics of American Sign Language and its uses. It proves that A.S.L. Is a real language with its own syntax. After reading this book you won't look at Sign Language the same.

Thought this book was supposed to come with a DVD (because of the title). I almost gave a bad review until I looked at the back cover. The book came super fast & in great condition
