I bought two of these dash cams, one for our SUV and one for our city car. Delivery was impressively quick, arriving a day earlier than expected. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and sturdiness of the dash cams themselves. Given the price, I anticipated a cheap plastic product, but they’re actually well-assembled with a robust metallic finish. Everything needed for installation was included, except for the necessary micro SD cards. The instruction manual was one of the clearest and most detailed I’ve seen – easy to follow and very thorough. After reading it and watching a couple of YouTube videos, I managed to set up and install both dash cams in about 30 minutes, which was faster than I expected! When I tried to activate the warranty online, my order number kept being rejected, which was frustrating. However, I used the QR code provided in the manual to reach customer service via WhatsApp, and surprisingly, even on a Saturday evening, they quickly registered the dash cams for me. I tested both dash cams today, and they worked flawlessly. The screen resolution is much better than I anticipated, offering clear, sharp video, which isn’t always the case with 1080p resolution. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend this dash cam!

Great simple front dash cam. I actually purchased this in 2019 and it is still going strong. Ease of installation, suction cup holds well, but has fell off in the heat, so had to wet the cup and it was fine. This is powered by a 12v cigarette lighter socket. As I have had it for so long, the sheath covering the wires has become exposed, as one car socket would not power off, resulting in constant removal which has caused wear. I also never wired it in, so cables were often left on the floor, not ideal admittedly. I have put the memory card in the laptop and viewed footage and edited and sent clips to dashcam sites. The image quality is clear and good for the price of this item. I get a discount on insurance. I would buy again but recommend getting the wire fitted properly.

I have had this a while now and am pleasantly surprised with the quality of it for the price. The menu takes a while to get used to and isn't as straightforward to set up but once it is you don't really need to touch any of the settings. The image quality is good although in dark wet weather you struggle to see the registrations of the other vehicles. I'm glad I didn't spend a lot more money on other branded cameras as I'm happy with this as it gives me extra security if anything was to happen whilst driving. We got the extra kit to hard wire it in which was simple to do. I have decided not to have this recording all the time as I didn't want the risk of it draining the battery so it is only set up to record whilst driving. Lots of options to use if you did want it recording all the time.

Bought to replace what was a great budget dash cam that had served me for about 4 years. The camera arrived well packaged with accessories which included power adaptor, usb cable for connection to computer, and 2 mounting options - sucker and adhesive pad. Power is via a mini usb cable so I was able to use my existing wiring for the new camera. I opted to use the self adhesive pad mount as it's slightly smaller (although less robust looking) than the suction mount. It works well. The camera is of great quality and I was surprised by its weight which immediately gives it a quality feel. Unlike other dash cams I've owned, the button functions are very intuitive. There are even symbols to the sides of the screen which indicate the button functions, which I found useful. Although the instructions are clear and in good English, I only used them to identify the buttons. Setting up is easy using the menu and navigation buttons. The video quality is probably the best I've experienced. The sound isn't the best, but is adequate. One of the problems I had with my old camera was that the video froze occasionally and I found myself driving around with no video recorded. It's useful to be able to see the camera display to check that the camera is actually operating. When I first set the camera up, the screen went blank after about 30 seconds. When I checked the footage, it was actually still recording - although the screen was black. Although you can set the screen saver to 'off' in the menu, when you restart the car it reverts back to its default 30 second time out. So, if you want the reassurance that the camera is recording by having the screen on all the time, it's necessary to set the the screen saver to 'off' after you've started the car and before you make your journey. Now I've found this workaround, this is just a small criticism of what is a great piece of kit. Highly recommended! Edit. The issue in the above paragraph has gone away. After a period of use the camera's battery builds-up sufficient charge to be able to retain your settings.

When I purchased this camera, tbh I didn’t have very high expectations - for the price point -all I wanted was the look of having a dashcam - but the product is excellent - easy to set up, simple to use and great quality video, I’ve had to use the video twice since purchase - no accidents just showing bad driving- and quality is excellent - These are definitely and fantastic value for money with great quality - Customer Service is also great - I had a small issue after 6mths with the suction cup and it was resolved immediately without any fuss.

Decent daytime and night time picture quality. Buttons a bit fiddly for someone with heavy hands like myself. SD card a pain to insert and remove . I think buttons and SD card are put where they are for a left hand drive vehicle where the driver is accessing the buttons and SD card from the left side of the dash cam. The more you use it the more familiar you get with the buttons you can't easily see but drive another car for a few days and come back to it and you will be struggling again. It would be nice to have a button to press to switch the microphone on so you can record abusive road users yelling through your window. Like all these dash cams number plate recognition day or night is hit and miss - better chance during the day particularly if there is no bright sunlight but you can't guarantee it and at night you might have a chance at low speed however headlight and brake light glare is a big problem. I Emailed Orskey to ask if they could help with a polarising filter to try to deal with glare but I have had no response from them - 1 out of 10 for customer service. Although number plate recognition at night isn't great the general night vision is good even on some poorly lit British back roads. I previously had a similar camera from Orskey (which came with a reversing camera) and the night vision of both was hopeless even with decent lighting from street lamps. This camera is advertised as having IR LED's and they do seem to make a difference. In summary, if you don't expect much from the night vision in terms of number plate recognition and accept a 50/50 chance of getting a number plate during the day when there is no glare from the Sun you should be happy with this camera. The £33 asking price is worth it. 21 05 2024. I have reduced the rating to 3 stars. Several times now the screen has stopped working. After a day or two the screen started working again and it is currently still working but for how long is anyone's guess. I have tried to contact the company with details Amazon provided to me but no response. It is not the first time I have tried to contact the company and had no response. The screen first went faulty when I had the camera for around 11 months. I have also noticed it only now records a couple of days video when it has previously recorded 2-3 times that. If you have an accident it makes sense to get the video off the SD card ASAP otherwise it may not be there when you do try to get it. I think it is also worth checking the SD card from time to time just to be sure it is actually recording. Update 28 Aug 2024 - Screen finally stopped working a few weeks ago although the camera was still recording . It was out of the 1 year warranty period so I replaced it myself which is actually quite easy.. I raised a question about the camera with Orskey customer services at the beginning of April and they have only just replied. How bad is that ? For the price the camera is pretty good and value for money but according to Orskey you have to format the SD card once a month to maintain reliability of recording and I have had issues with my camera losing video footage or only recording 2 - 3 days of footage. before overwriting stored video. Reformatting the SD card resolved the problem for me. If you think you might need some video footage then my advice is don't take it to chance - recover the video off the SD card ASAP otherwise you might lose it. While your camera works you should be happy with it but need customer services and you could be left high and dry. From my experience camera reliability is not great. I've kept the 3 stars because while the camera is working it's pretty good.

Good dashcam

This ORSKEY Dash Cam is easy to install and use with clear pictures. Good value for money and after sales service. I had a problem with the charger which stopped working after a while and this was replaced and warranty extended.

Works, but quite slow. Connecting takes time, comparing to some other models where you can unplug with one move, when leaving the car. Good price.

C'est une excellente caméra. J'en ai mis une à l'avant et une à l'arrière dans ma voiture (Kia Cee'd SW 2017) et elles fonctionnent parfaitement. J'ai sauvegardé plusieurs vidéos pour des altercations avec des conducteurs idiots ou pour d'autres évènements et la qualité d'image est très bonne.Très bon produit.
