french roast is a darker flavor and light roast is a lighter more chocolate flavor... sort of like comparing 85% dark to 65% dark chocolate. Hope that helps.

Your French Press is like a cast iron pan -- don't wash it. Just kidding, that's gross. The glass piece comes out of the metal part. Just give the glass a twist and it will pop out.
