Most comfortable back brace I've ever worn
No surgery or other CURRENT injury caused me to go looking. I've had several whiplash type injuries, several falls and I'm overweight so I have back pain issues when I stand too long, sit too long, walk too long or reach much. I needed some support so I can work (came out of retirement at age 70!).This brace is a bit of a hassle to get closed because my hands don't grip as they once did but when it is closed and on it feels secure, stays closed all day and is pretty darn comfortable over a T-shirt. Yes, it wrinkles after a few wearings but that doesn't seem to make a difference. The hardest part is rolling it up so you can use the bathroom (if you're wearing pants rather than a dress). It is easy to put back in place though.I held back from reviewing until I had a week of wear. It hasn't been washed and shouldn't NEED frequent washing since it isn't worn next to the skin. I can't tell you how it would stand up to washing but I intend to hand wash and air dry only.I find I'm able to do everything just a little longer, a little more forcefully, etc when I'm wearing it. I have less pain.

Compression more than support
I ordered this product to provide some support for my back and lower abdomen so I could increase my exercise. Coincidentally, I started having sciatica pain in my lower back and leg. I was hoping the brace to be a bit more rigid, but it provides more compression than support. It did provide some pain relief, but it’s stretchier than I expected. It rolled up and down while I was sitting, essentially becoming a very thick belt. It may work better if I was wear it over more structured pants (like jeans) rather than lounge/active wear, but I really wanted to be able to wear it while doing activities like walking, yoga, etc.,

DOES NOT WORK FOR ME
The product arrived timely. What they don't tell you is that the fabric protecting the velcro stip that secures the binder is COVERED and the fabric covering is very hard to remove.. That was the first obstacle, what with severe wrist and hand nerve damage. Second obstacle was trying to pull it tight enough for the binder to do any good. I couldn't do it. The product is mailed in a zip lock see through envelope that has air breathing holes and nothing else. The zip lock at the top wasn't even taped. It is a wonder the envelope didn't arrive empty. At any rate the product doesn't work for me so I'm returning it.

Great value, good quality, great support/ UPDATE: Early Tearing between seams
I just received this product today in the mail. It was a great value for the money, good quality materials. It is lightweight but sturdy enough. It is not scratchy. It stretches well. It is true to size for me and accommodating. I immediately put it on when it arrived today. My lower back feels much better since my large tummy area is better supported. The positive relief results for me were immediate. I plan to buy a second binder for additional support. The material is light and soft enough for me to wear over my clothing or under my shirt against my skin without irritation. I am very pleased with this product so far.EDIT: (UPDATE; May 21, 2019)Unfortunately, the binder is already beginning to tear between the seams, at the edge of the flap.I ordered the 2XL size (38-62 inches) $24.95My waist is 48 inches, well within the 2XL size parameters.I'm 5' 8" tall with a normal length torso and rotund abdomen.** The binder is ripping between the seams in the upper areas in less than 10 days of daily wear for a few hours each day. I only wear it inside of my home with no strenuous activity mitigating at all.Unfortunately, the binder I received simply hasn’t demonstrated wear durability. It is ripping between two seams.I initially gave an excellent review. I stand by my initial impression. However, the durability of the item is now an issue of concern given the recent seam tears in the 10th day of wear.In general, the binder was supportive and comfortable. The velcro held well. The product rolled a bit but that was fine. Though the fabric is thin, worn over a t-shirt, the binder was still medically supportive to my abdomen and lower back areas that needed the medical compression, increased circulation, and abdominal support. However, it tore at the front closure flap in between the seams after 10 days of non-strenuous in-home use.Unfortunately, I had to choose to return the item today.

Game changer...
I ordered this product because I recently had bariatric surgery, and after 3 weeks, pain was at it's worst since. I was supposed to walk, but my belly hurt so bad, I couldn't do so without grasping and pushing on my stomach. I was afraid the neighbors would think I was gut shot or a total perv and call the cops! After checking with my surgeon, I did my research and placed my order. MIC DROP. I was able to wear pants for the first time since surgery, and can walk around and climb stairs hands free! I expected it to be like a girdle - kind of stiff, uncomfortable, and with edges that roll like a burrito, as well as difficult to put on by myself. Not only did it drastically reduce the pain, but I got the bonus plan - very comfortable, one person application and it doesn't roll! For anyone considering this item post-surgery, check with your Doctor first! But based on reality versus experience based expectation, I wish I could give this more stars! Highly, highly recommend.

Poor Hernia Support, Cannot Recommend, Better Used for Back Support
This band had promise, and has comfort on its side. BUT, ended up offering poor support. If you tighten it too much it is unusable. But if it is too loose, it also useless. I have a navel hernia and it did not help it much. For general back support it is OK, but I got no relief for my hernia. There is also no "plug" included with this. This https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QDZWR5F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is MUCH better for hernia relief and I have not found any better than that.
