Incredible pain relief.
If you have doubts about this device, please read this review. I'm about 80, with an arthritic back with bone spurs, aching lumbar, previous decompression surgery (14 years ago), dried up discs, pinched nerves and a numbness in one leg. I've tried lumbar steroid injections (L4-5) with few results in the past year. I received my SmoothSpine one month ago, just after I saw my extremely qualified back surgeon for the fourth time. He doesn't believe in surgery unless he can pinpoint an issue, and with bone spurs, they'll probably come back anyway. He said I could get on Cymbalta forever, maybe try steroids in a different way, or lastly, he could do surgery that would possibly help for awhile. Steroids, he said, have maybe a 30% chance of lasting a few months, and you don't want to do that forever, nor can you. I had already ordered the SmoothSpine, but, like you, figured it was some scam and wouldn't help, or be poorly made, etc., but the reviews were great, so I bought it. The day after my doctor's appointment, I laid it on the floor and tried it. It ran four cycles in under about 15 minutes. I got up and my back and leg pain was completely gone. I couldn't believe it. I almost came to tears when my wife asked me if it did any good. And I didn't want to jinx it! The thing simply works. I don't know how, but somehow it is able to lift and put my lumbar area in more of a natural setting so nerves aren't pinched. It may or not rejuvenate my discs, but the more I use it (twice a day, 15 minutes), the better my back feels. My back feels better than it has in at least 15 years. I truly have had no lumbar or constant leg pain since the first time I used it. Amazing. And I'm not even sure I need to use it twice a day, but it is so relaxing and positive I don't want to give it up. I'm still afraid I'm jinxing myself by writing this!

Poor quality and NO customer support
Sadly disappointed. I would give it a negative number if I could. I am surprised that Amazon deals with this company. It worked exactly for a day and a half before it just clicked when the power button was pushed. I tried to contact the seller, SmoothSpine via email, with no response. Tried via Facebook with the same results. I get the feeling there is no customer support, it was only printed the user guide to give you a warm fuzzy feeling. Was hesitant about buying it directly from the company so I went thru Amazon because they would refund my money. Glad I went that route.

loved
This soft back massage couch has been an absolute game-changer for my relaxation and recovery routine. The cushioning is incredibly comfortable — soft enough to sink into, but still supportive where it needs to be. It feels like lying on a cloud! The built-in massage functions are powerful yet soothing, with multiple settings to target different areas of the back. I love being able to adjust the intensity and choose between rolling, kneading, or vibration modes depending on my mood or tension level. It's also surprisingly stylish and fits perfectly in my living room without looking bulky or out of place. Setup was easy, and the materials feel high-quality and durable. If you're looking for a way to unwind after long workdays or ease back pain, this couch is worth every penny. I honestly don’t know how I lived without it!

Eased tension
This back massager works amazing for relieving tension after a long day. It has strong but comfortable pressure, and the different settings make it easy to customize depending on how sore you are. It’s especially great for shoulder and lower back tightness, and it really helps me relax before bed. I also like to use it on my feet. Definitely worth it if you deal with muscle tension or just want something to unwind with after work.

Surprisingly effective relief at home
I didn’t have huge expectations going into this, but I’ve been really impressed. The combination of heat, vibration, and gentle traction feels incredibly soothing, especially for my lower back. It’s easy to use, comfortable to lie on, and feels well made. I like that I can adjust how intense it feels depending on what my body needs that day. It’s become part of my nightly routine, especially after long days or workouts. If you deal with lower back tension or stiffness and want something you can use at home without much effort, this is definitely worth trying.

Good idea, poor execution!
Real user review From a 175lb 5ft10 bmi 30 man with l4 l5 s1 stenosis, pinched nerve, disk degeneration and modic changes. proposed nerve ablation from pain management, fusion surgery from surgeon and a handful of anti inflammatories and muscle relaxers. Excited to get it after the info on various online sites, however w/ a sensitive sore back a few things get in the way of success: 1) with a sweatshirt on, there is no temperature control and gets too hot on skin to use for full 15 minutes, 2) the massage motors are exposed to the top of the device and press on your back [ yes I unzipped and looked inside], 3 the air bladder pump control also inside presses the face of the device and hits your already sore back. 4) the air bladder that helps lift you to induce the decompression is also non adjustable so it presses against your back pretty hard at full expansion with no way to adjust pressure. Could be a real game changer with a more dense foam cover to prevent hard motors and pump from pressing into you, a temperature control to allow for users to set as needed, and a pressure control valve to make it adjustable to your current sensitivity.... maybe someone will do real engineering and test a user group for comfort and success, one cant come without the other when it comes to back pain and relaxing to allow the concept to be long term used and effective.... buy a few brands, test them, and find one that can do the work, and not hurt you in the process.
