We spent a lot of time researching bidets. Finally we settled on this on even though it was VERY EXPENSIVE over other brands. It met all of our wants on the check list. I even asked several customers if it had a night light and was told yes it has a night light. Guess I should have made it extremely clearer with my question about the night light. We had another bidet and it truly had a night bowl light. When the lights went out the bowl lit up a beautiful blue in color which was very helpful for small children and elderly that need a little more guidance in the night. However, the one we had did not have remote which we really like and it did not have the front and rear washer. Why have one without both... right?Based on the answers and the description about the night light we selected this model even though it was over the top expensive. We like it even though it DOES NOT have a night time bowl light. I called TOTO and they explained that the night light is about a 2 second flash of a light when it detects movement and that is it... NO NIGHT TIME LIGHT UP BOWL LIGHT. So if you are looking for that light up bowl at night this is not the one that does that. So, we added a night light where it plugs in near the floor and that is the light that guides you NOT that 2 second worthless flash. Sorry but 2 seconds means nothing especially when the flash is directed at a wall and hard to see. For this amount of money there should be a real bowl light in my thinking but I am not a designer so what do I know? I just know there are less expensive models with a real night time bowl light!We like the automatic lid raising and lowering even though it seems to be getting slower and we have only had this about a month. Hoping it does not get any slower at raising or we will shut that part off.The misting is questionable on just how well that works... not convinced it does much at all.The remote is wonderful and so much better than the remotes that are on the side ... you can't hardly read them. We love the remote idea and it is SUPER easy to use. We did not it mount to the wall. There are options on both sides of the remote so we thought mounting it to the wall was not a realistic option. We have a small cart on wheels with drawers and it works great by the toilet and the remote is right there handy on top of the cart in plain view making it easier to use options on both sides.It is a sleek design and we are happy with it. Would we buy another one? No, not at this price when it really does not have a bowl light which was a big deal for us. We wish we had shopped around a little more and found a better price. A day or so after we bought this one we saw the same exact model for over $200 less but the company we ordered thru did not budge on any discount. We were tired after such a long remodel job on our bathroom that we just wanted to get back to normal living so we just bit the bullet and avoided the hassle of having to PAY to return it and purchase the one at a better price.We have one more bathroom to go and even though we do like this bidet we won't pay this price again we will look for another company to purchase thru if we choose this same model. Not saying anything negative about this company at all. They posted their price and we bought it so a deal is a deal. We kept it and keeping our fingers crossed that it stands up to time and we won't regret spending so much on one that wound up not being what we really wanted and what we thought we were buying.

This was my first bidet I've owned. After discussing what to get with several store reps and doing my own research I settled on the TOTO SW3056 S550E. I was also able to get it for considerably less on Amazon than in any store that was selling this model. I've never been so excited to go to the bathroom than I was when this first was installed. I can't speak to the physical install, as the plumber did that when installing the toilet during our renovation project, but I can speak to the ease of install of the remote and the clairity of instructions when learning how to use the bidet the first time. If you've never owned one I HIGHLY recommend reading through the instructions to get the most out of what this provides. The instructions are very clear and you also will learn how to keep this clean when cleaning your toilet and how to maintain the wand and filter for the air filtering system without damaging it. You will also learn what all the symbols mean on the bidet itself, what the lights are indicating, and remote operation. Thinking back on it, I laugh at how I ended up having to set my personal settings which involved me sitting on the toilet and making manual adjustments to wand position, water and dryer tempurature, as well as spray strength using the remote. Once everything is set, you just do your business, then touch the button shaped like a butt, swipe the personal preference you set (1 or 2) and you're good to go. I will never go back to using toilet paper again. I don't think I can make up the cost of this thing in toilet paper purchases, since we still have kids that will be using that, but I'm a very happy camper so far with this product. My only gripes I have(and they're minor) would be the fact that there's a lot of plastic on this which I worry about from a durability standpoint and the possibly a yellowing of the white finish which seems to happen with all plastics over time. Overall I'd give this a recommendation.

Toto toilets it can be impossible to attach the diverter onto the water line for the seat water function.I will write another review after I install this Toto Washlet but for info only, I am replacing a Toto Washlet I have used for 23 years so you can't beat that quality. If the back of your current toilet is hard to access due to enclosure you will need to order this part. (6 inches Stainless Steel 7/8 Male 7/8 Female Extension Hose) to get it hooked up, which is why I am waiting for this part to give it a accurate rating.Update: Extension part arrived and installation was simple and seat performs very well.

This is probably then nicest looking bidet seat out there, the cotton white is a nice match to the almond colour of our elongated toilet. It’s smooth curves and low profile looks normal open or closed. Good seat too, more comfortable than the original seat, truly feels luxurious just sitting on it. Seat opening is wider and front lower, and the saddle curve just puts you in the he right spot. The seat heating is also constant, some others are barely warm at first then too hot. This is really an experience.The sounds are pretty muted even though it does a lot. Even the blow dryer is pretty quiet, and it moves a lot of air. I was surprised, it actually dries cheeks and all in under a minute, first bidet dryer that actually works, though not as well on the front wash areas. However if you have a temperature triggered skin condition as I do, it might be better to use more directed drying like the BioBidet.The sprays are fairly soft at least compared to our BioBidet 2000. That bidet is a real blaster, this one has a harder wash with just a bit of sting to let you know it’s cleaning well, but also a lot of warm soothing settings (hard to tell if they are cleaning something). Water temperature is extremely well controlled, absolutely no variation from the first spritz on.The remote could be better, mostly because it has no night lighting but only lights the function being used. The LCD display used for settings on the back is extremely hard to see for me without the backlight it really needs. It’s designed to be luxurious but a miss on that detail. Also, it’s hard to turn off some features even though the remote has a lot of settings, it’s not easy to stop the cover from popping up every time you walk by without turning off every other feature too.Installation: measure your toilet carefully, there us absolutely no adjustment for spacing between the seat mount holes. The box doesn't’ include a flexible hose to go from faucet to tee is missing, if you have older non-flexible connections to the toilet tank you will need to get a new hose. I noticed here is such a hose on the Amazon“Frequently purchased together “ list and now I know why.

I spent 2 weeks researching these bidet seat and finally decided on the the ToTo 550 E. I have never had or used one previously and realize now that was a big mistake. This thing is a dream! Installation was very easy. The only problem i am having is the flickering lights, as i took power from a wall switch on the opposite side of the wall. The instructions should state to use a dedicated circuit as i believe the amperage draw when running the heater , not mentioned will require a separate circuit. Its not a big problem now but i will eventually run a new line to the panel. The auto seat feature is nice however its something one could do without. The seat with this feature should only be installed if the toilet is in its own room or far enough away from other fixtures so it doesn't lift if you are at the sink. When the seat lifts it sprays down the bowl, as well as after you get up. two user settings can be locked in to control everything from temperature to pressure . The seat is nice and warm(can be adjusted) seat cover Rises when you get close and if your a guy another button will raise and lower the seat. When you leave the seat cover closes shortly after. I wanted one with all the bells and whistles and this is in the ensuite bathroom. The best thing of course is the experience, you feel so much cleaner after using this, the dryer is nice however unless your planning on sitting there for ten minutes you still need a few sheets of TP to completely dry. If your sitting on the fence about any bidet seat jump off cause i do believe this is a game changer one you wont regret. UPDATE a Year later. Still the best thing for toilets, runs like a champ with no problems. I would not be without this seat! Only thing I’ve needed is another filter which was about. 45.00 cdn. UPDATE two years later. Still working like new !

Bought this as a fall back in case of supply chain issues in getting TP, but we ended up loving it so much, we bought a second one (one for main, one for en suite). Nice to have a warm seat in the middle of a frigid winter, love the auto-open feature, and the guys LOVE the guy feature (press the top button and the lid and seat open, press again and it all closes - no more arguments about leaving the seat up!!). Plan on buying one more for the downstairs bathroom. Super easy to install. Highly recommend.
