The music is annoying
It didn't like dual charging 2 batteries that were different 3.0 vs 6.0....2- 3.0 charged side by side just fine. 2- 6.0 AH, just fine. The batteries didn't go in as smoothly nor release as smoothly as my Makita charger. I had a couple batteries that didn't want to charge in my Makita charger and those took putting them in and out a few times and then they started charging. So the unit did help revive a couple that were 2 years old and not charging properly in the old charger.The light diagram on the unit is NOT correct. You get straight red/green when it says the green should flash with the red solid. It charges my batteries and that's what counts. It did NOT revive one of my older 1.5 AH smallest batteries, but it did charge the others. Either it will loosen a little for popping batteries in and out or I'll spray some silicone on the plastic surfaces.I'd rather have a beep instead of the music to figure out what it's doing, i.e. One beep charging...3 Beeps done and constant beeps if the battery is bad. It IS nice to be able to charge 2 at once, but not when they both have to be the same AH. For what I paid, I'll live with the annoying music and grumble every time I hear it.

Not sure why the review asked for stars for "Battery Life" since this isn't a battery, and why it asked about "Sheerness" which doesn't even make sense as a mistake. Whatever, let's pretend those are for, let's see... FIT and FUNCTION, okay?This two-slot charger is only a slightly larger wider footprint than my single-slot OEM charger. Depth and height are effectively the same, so I'm pleased with that. Charger seems to detect both good and bad batteries properly. (Yeah, I had a known bad one and wanted to confirm it was really dead. OEM said bad. This unit said bad. So... I figure that's a good enough consensus to confirm a bad battery.)This charger charges 1 *or* 2 batteries at the same speed as the OEM charger would charge 1: about 2 hours from completely empty to full, for a 5A battpack.The one thing that's notable, and this is purely a "you might like it, or you might hate it" cosmetic thing, is that this little charger makes short musical clips when it "detects a battery inserted" and "done charging". Personally I would have preferred a couple of simple beeps, but I don't really care enough to ding a star. Heck, some people might actually prefer the little musical clips.I have no regrets either way -- I can now keep 2 batteries charging while I use a third, and I'll never run out of battery power for my main drill. Win.

Low quality item
I have owned the battery charger for 9 weeks and use it everyday for carpentry. One of the charging docks no longer works. Don’t buy this item

Charging multiple Makita batteries

Works as advertised so far
Have charged Makita branded batteries several cycles now with no issues. Seems to perform a full charge comparable to the Makita OE product. Not as well made as Makita externally but good enough for my needs so far.
