A Good Read for Everyone.
I ordered this book (hard-cover) just for 475 Rs. through amazon offer. Excellent service from Amazon considering the quick shipping by Speed Post. Speed post makes Amazon reach every corner of the country. Thumbs up and thank you for that.About the product-The pages are somewhat yellowish but no problem. The content is good from point of view of diplomacy. It gives an account of H. Clinton's tenure as SoS, discusses her personal experiences and the choices every government has to make for its policies. The situation US was in when Obama was elected for first term as President and the aftermath has been quite explicitly given.

Awesome!!!
Although I purchased it thinking it's her autobiography, when actually it's her memoir as being the U.S Secretary of State, I was not disappointed at all. It's really precisely written and of course is as inspiring as she is. I will savour this book in my collection forever. Amazon delivered it to me before time and it was well packaged.

I am happy with the quality of the book which was delivered ...
'Hard Choices' is a narrative of 67th Secretary of State to US, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Critical issues of international importance all presented in a light hearted narrative is what this book is.However, at some instances one feel that the 'American Patriotism' well-ingrained in the writer is crossing some boundaries of logic when it comes to her reasoning and understanding of the situation. However, I am happy with the quality of the book which was delivered in time.

Hard Choices for Madame Secretary
I found this offering by Secretary Clinton to be well written, easy to follow, sprinkled with details that keeps the reader interested. One wants to keep turning the page. The information is presented in a logical sequence and maintains subject/topic threads that keeps the momentum. Not to offer do Secretaries of State take the time and really provide a volume so intense but reads like you are there. The details keep the reader searching for more information, even though you've already read it in the newspaper or heard the nightly news- anchored mentioned the item. While I defer to Madeleine Albright's tome for fascinating and well written sequential work, 'Hard Choices' should be on everyone's summer readings. The inner sanctum if any very large company or consortium is always interesting filled with intrigue, lines, cheats, sandal as well as some down home politicking. I like the book, I would certainly recommend it to get the Middle East and how it works or does not. If you're browsing and have some free time, pick up the book!

An Amazing Woman with an Amazing Memoir!
As a longtime admirer of Hillary Clinton, I was eager to read the recounting of her time as Secretary of State. I was not disappointed. First, let m say that the reader will NOT find any new tidbits of gossip about her colleagues, friends, or the like. This is a very frank and complete recounting of some of the most important episodes in the four years she served. The attention to detail is absolutely amazing! Having read her other works, this was not so surprising--she recounts details obviously from notes and because she pays such close attention to events as they unfold that, apparently, they are etched in her memory. Her respect for the leaders of other nations is noteworthy. Whether they agree with her or not, she treats her preparation and meetings together with the activities therefrom with total concern for that government. She is a loyal American! That fact comes through in every single account she offers. Her ability to transition from candidate to cabinet speaks to her versatility. I was particularly intrigued with how hands on she was in her position. The Bejing chapter. Imagining her being awakened in the predawn hours in DC to handle such a delicate matter a world away is most impressive. I was also impressed with her attention to her family and how that carried on throughout the book. Her almost casual mentions of her homes, the walks with her husband, her daughter, and her husband are heartwarming. The picture this book paints is that of a woman who has lived in the forefront of politics for a good part of her life and who knows herself enough to trust her decisions and her staff. She alludes to her stage in life and the freedom it gives her to prioritize the important matters while minimizing the issues such as her hair and makeup. Any woman would appreciate that! Her division of the memoir into six parts covers most of the world and most of the issues of her four years in a most organized fashion. Realizing how much of our history was crammed into those four years and how she, with her staff, covered all of the world is a testimony not only to her intelligence but to her stamina. Many times when one leaves a position or a company, the issues are left there is no concern for what comes next. Ms. Clinton is not that person. Her last words of this book are focusing on the future. The reader is left with the knowledge that she is ready, willing, and able to use her experience and abilities to enable our country to retain its position of world leadership. How I wish we could clone her so that our future generations could benefit from such a dedicated leader. This is an excellent read for anyone who cares about our country and where it is headed.
