The Best so Far.
I donโt know what everyone is complaining about. I picked this protein powder due to its source being a well trusted and completely sustainable for your metabolism to recognize as โfoodโ. Whey protein is the byproduct of cow lactation during the process of making cheese; itโs waste. This is not waste, itโs recognizable fuel for your โankhโ (body; gross word). I used this product in 2 recipes: the first being a smoothie (blackberries, strawberries, and a banana/ tablespoon honey/ coconut milk) and the second being an altered Kodak Protein pancake mix. Both were phenomenal, with the smoothie having an odd odor (which was a bit off putting, but just donโt inhale/sniff the smoothie when you drink it) but overall very enjoyable. The pancakes were just absolutely delicious and left you feeling super full with no difference in the taste (Kodak mix, coconut milk, egg, 1/3 cup scoop of egg protein powder) and lasting energy without the death gas from whey protein mix. There was nothing odd about it as I blended the egg white powder in with the coconut milk using a ninja blender and made sure to not go over board so there was no โsuper foamโ Easy to use, just scoop and use. I would recommend using for baking goods, and if you want to use it in smoothies or shakes, just make sure to get a reliable sweetener and use to even out any odd taste (I use Ambrosia Honey Co.). There was no odd texture again; I just blended wisely with a blender. Maybe a little foam, but not enough to complain about. Iโm VERY HAPPY with this purchase as whey protein always made me feel off. This does not and I already used 3/4 cups of the product in my morning routine.

DF, GF, ovo-veg, I'd recommend if you don't mind eggy taste and smell.
great bulk protein powder, gf, df, and vegetarian. Perfect for my morning protein smoothies/chai's. Has a bit of a eggy smell and taste, but its expected because thats literally what it is, and can be covered up with most other ingredients I put in with it. Keeps my energy levels up for at least 4 hours before I need to eat again. I'd recommend, the protein content is worth it. Though the price is expensive-ish, I've still bought it three times now--this last time was cheaper because of a discount--love that!

Horrifying eldritch monstrosity
You open the can, excited to try out E G G W H I T E protein. It has incredible properties - more bioavailable than whey, tons of good amino acids, and better than any plant protein for stimulating muscle protein synthesis. The first thing you experience is the smell. The stench of old eggs wafts up from the tin. The powder is fine and dusty - as you disturb the jug, a small cloud escapes into the air. "I have a strong stomach and a resilient taste. I can do this," you whisper to yourself, not entirely sure. The macros on the label are pretty compelling - only 1g of carbs for 16g of protein - that's unheard of. You pour the recommended amounts into your shaker bottle, and shake. The mixture immediately forms a foam that refuses to settle out. It's been Activated, and it hungers for blood. You try to take a sip. The foam is overwhelming. The scent of bad eggs is replaced by the taste of bad eggs. "Maybe if I get to the liquid under the foam, it will be better," you hope. The bottle goes up, and up, and up, and finally you feel the liquid enter your mouth. Your tongue recoils in horror - the taste is far worse than the smell. The cup goes down. "Maybe I can mix this with something?" you think with a tone of despair. No. You cannot mix this with something. Nothing tames the foam, and the underlying rotten egg flavor dominates all attempts to cover it up. Resignation fills your head. You start googling "Can I compost protein powder?" and "Ethics of donating nasty food."

Consistently great quality; especially great for those watching carbohydrates.
I typically use one serving (one serving is 1/4 cup of this particular egg white protein powder) with a high fiber hemp protein powder, spirulina powder, chlorella powder, matcha green tea powder, frozen pineapple, frozen pomegranate arils, frozen triple berry blend, MCT oil, and two & a half cups of water. It keeps me full from about 7 a.m. until about 1 or 2 p.m. I have lost about seven lbs having this smoothie every morning, in conjunction with a pretty clean diet that is light on the carbs. While I have been switching it up with whey protein powder, hemp protein powder, and a plant-based protein powder to see what suits my body and lifestyle best, I find I reach for this egg white protein powder mixed with hemp protein powder in my smoothies more often than I reach for the other protein powders I have. When using an actual blender to mix it, it isn't gritty whatsoever; the consistency is very smooth (pretty much undetectable); it dissolves completely without leaving any clumps. I can't really comment on the taste of the powder by itself or mixed with just water & cooked as an egg substitute, however I can say I really do love the flavor of my morning smoothie with this in it & I actually look forward to it. When using a different brand of egg white protein powder blended with my usual frozen fruits & everything I would babysit it... it would take me about an hour to force it down. With all that being said, I will absolutely be repurchasing. I am consistently delivered a quality product and I love that the five lb tub keeps me from having to reorder every month... I wish I could add a sixth star for the pure convenience of this brand offering such a large tub of it! A really awesome way to add a complete protein to your morning smoothie... love that it's significantly lower in calories that many other types of protein powders, and I don't have to worry about my smoothies having too many carbohydrates in them.

Incredible value but requires some work
The average egg white has 4 grams of protein, 1 serving of this is equivalent to 4 egg whites... Let us do some math... 113 servings , each serving is equivalent to 4 egg whites, so that is 113 x 4 = 452. You get 452 egg-whites in this tub. You would need over 37 dozen cartons of eggs to match the amount of egg-white protein you get in this tub. That is an amazing value. Yes, it is hard to mix, yes it does clump, but that can be avoided by using a good blender cup that has either a mixing ball or an agitator ( that is what they call those plastic things that spin around as you shake). Let the powder sit for a bit, the warmer the water, the better the mixing but dont use heated water, plain tap is fine. As it sits, it starts to dissolve and after shaking for a minute, it becomes a nice, smooth consistency in the shaker cup. I myself mix one serving of this with half a serving of whey and a tablespoon of cocoa powder. After I mix it, I put it in the fridge for a bit and it tastes delicious. Smooth and thick like chocolate milk. THE COLDER THE BETTER. I drink this concoction post workout since whey + another source of slower digesting protein is superior to whey by itself. This is really cheap and better than those expensive blends. I have tried to blend this and it foams up and is horrible. Do not use a blender for this. I warn you now. It may work with a thick base like yogurt, but with plain water, it foamed horrible and I had to toss the contents of my blender out. The taste is really neutral. it does smell kind of weird, but not bad, and after mixing with something chocolately, I cant tell. I hope my review is helpful.

Why I like this Now Egg White Protein powder.
I've used powdered egg whites before as my protein source in body building over the years as a change of pace over Whey Isolates powder because I was getting a lactose intolerance reaction in my throat as I swallowed the shake comprised of the powder and banana or some other fruit I would nearly choke on phlegm. Decided enough was enough and that a radical change was necessary. I'd seen other body builders from my gym or in magazine articles on protein do's and don'ts in that past and I like Now Sports products so I gravitated towards their Egg Whites powder in a five pound bottle like their Whey protein and now it came in non-GMO offering. Since I've switched to Organics it fell short of the Organic claim but non-GMO is the next best thing. At first it didn't mix well I went back to my blender mixer jar and thoroughly cleaned it with soap and hot water thinking maybe what I was getting was Whey Isolate residue from previous mixes. It did the trick and I haven't had any problems so far. It's a good product and I buy the unflavored version because I don't want useless calories from artificial sweeteners. Something you might want to choose yourself. If you want flavoring add a banana or some organic fruits.

excellent for PSMF goods
just as good as the 2 pricier egg white powders used in Mariaโs PSMF breads. I actually mostly make the โIndigo Niliโ Egg White BUNS and ROLLS batter version, it always comes out perfect wether i make buns, large loaf of bread or egg wraps and it never tastes like styrofoam (i do however also add tsp of yeast to the 1 1/2cp of warm water with a tsp of real sugar (yeast eats it so no carbs) and let it sit for 5-10 mins).. One mistake many make is over-whipping this for PSMF bread, thinking they need stiff egg white peaks like they do with fresh egg whites. i did first two times and quit making powder psmf bread version until months later when i saw Indigo Niliโs video and it showed egg whites without stiff peak!! anyhows, i like this NOW version, i trust NOWโs product and use many so it was a no brainer to chose it over others especially when you get 5lbs for a great price, even better if you subscribe and save with 5 items each time!! i keep an unopened 5lb container on backup at all times for the expiration dates have been long ones (usually 2 yrs past current dates) . no funny smell. It is messy to work with so be careful when scooping it out/etc or you may look like youโve been baking all day afterwards!! it does clump up so i donโt use it in my shakes since i donโt use mixer/blender to make them but, if using a blender/mixer, it should un-clump fine like it does when whipped in stand mixer.

Changes To Previous Version
I have purchased this (twice, container on left) and lasts months and as others have stated its dropped 1g (now 15g) in protein. Not a big deal honestly....however the details on Amazon still state 16g and i note that there is an additional ingredient Sunflower Lecithin. Note the yolk of eggs already has lecithin, but sunflower is vegan only issue it can cause is bloating, which if you have reflux like me you want to know about. Its also unclear how much is included in the conatiner. The only concern is whether its always been included by default or its just been added now. The amino profile has also decreased slightly. I have tasted it and it seems the same as before.
