Cafe' Nervosa: The Connoisseur's Cookbook

So glad I found this book in such excellent condition. I love Frasier still and this book has easy receipes that my son wants to make. Thanks

The book arrived well packed, super fast, and in excellent condition from Sudbury Books. This is an excellent gift for anyone who loves the Frasier sit-com! The cookbook is smaller and thinner than I thought in size and easy to handle with a comprehensive and diverse recipe collection There are lush color photos of a few dishes and several black and white photos from the show. There is witty banter after many of the recipes between the characters, and a handy 1 1/3 pages at the end with helpful tables on cooking conversions. I just got this today so I haven’t made any of the dishes yet, but I cook a lot and the recipes look very solid with clear directions and easy to get ingredients. I’m so happy I was able to score this out of print book!!!

My mom and I always have trouble coming up with presents for her 70 year old sister who doesn't need or want anything but has suggested "consumables". She loves nostalgia and pop culture so I thought of looking up tv shows she likes to see if there was any interesting merchandise. She also loves to cook so when I found this I thought, perfect! I really expected it to be a silly book she's flip through once, mostly paying attention to the quotes and then stash it away until it's time to donate. Well, my mom and I flipped through it first and were blown away by such interesting recipes. I don't buy cookbooks because I usually just like one or two recipes but this one, everything is unusual, easy and looks delicious. My picky, casserole making Minnesota mom even copied some down. I'm going to have to buy her another copy that I can share because this cookbook is really fantastic and really carries on the theme of the show.

This book is a must have for anyone who is a total Fraiser and Niles fan. Filled with neat stores and recipes. Sure to up your coffee regimen and impress friends.

My boss was coming over for dinner and he was transferred from the Seattle division so I wanted to make him something that reminded him of home. He said the grilled Daphne Burgers and the Popcorn a la Bulldog were better than his mom used to make when she was alive! I made Eddie treats for him to take home to his dog but he said his dog was really picky and I should probably just bring them into work and leave them in the lounge fridge because people always take his food out of there even though he clearly writes that nobody should eat it and it would be funny if somebody took dog treats and ate them LOL! My only complaint is that the pages with pictures of Roz seamed to be stuck together but those recipes were some of the messier ones. Anyway, I got that big promotion so if you want to impress real Seattle people or just treat your family to fancy food like they have in Washington, I highly suggest this book!

Book is so awesome! Husband loves this! We are avid fans of the show! But the price from the seller was astronomical!! We should have looked harder at the size of the book because not sure we would have bought this if we saw how small this was prior to the purchase. JUST KNOW ITS TINY!!! And the inside flap has the price cut out, which we assume means the original price was appropriate but the price is hiked up due to the novelty of the book now. Either way, good gift to give

Something that just arrived in the mail is "Cafe' Nervosa: The Connoisseur's Cookbook," an eclectic collection of recipes ostensibly from Frasier, Daphne, and the entire crew. I love to cook and I'm always on the outlook for new recipes and this is a fine collection of some really interesting ones. The picture I've uploaded is one of my favorites, Mocha Nervosa Walnut Bread.The book is divided into four sections, Man Can Live by Bread Alone (breads and desserts); Let's do Lunch (small, relatively simply meals); Just Bring Two Forks (ornate, you-better-think-about-it meals); and Some Like it Hot (coffees and drinks). Sprinkled throughout the book are quotes and bits from the show. The book also has an index for quick lookup. At 108 pages, it's not a huge book, but well written and just quirky enough to keep your interest. And the recipes are easy enough that almost anyone (that is, me) can do them without getting lost or having to travel to Trader Joe's for some obscure ingredient.

Nice book if you love the series with little references throughout, but no tossed salads and scrambled eggs!

Ich habe mir das Buch als gebraucht Artikel aus den USA schicken lassen. Es wurde mit dem Zustand "sehr gut" angeboten. Leider hatte der Schutzumschlag schon zwei Risse.Das Buch selber ist super. Es finden sich eine ganze Menge kleiner Gerichte und interessante Getränke darin. Im Anhang findet sich eine Tabelle, die die englichen Maßeinheiten in das metrische System übersetzen.Als Fan der Serie Frasier wird man ein paar der Zitate im Buch wieder erkennen. Aber auch wenn man die Serie nicht kennt, ist das Buch sehr interessant.

Die Qualität der Café Nervosa-Rezepte stimmt, es werden keine außergewöhnlichen Zutaten verlangt und eine Umrechnungstabelle für Maßeinheiten ist ebenfalls beigefügt.Einleitend findet sich ein sehr treffender, eigens ausgedachter Dialog. Der Rest des Buches enthält Zitate aus den ersten Staffeln. Die Zubereitung des gemischten Salats mit Rührei wird jedoch für immer ein Mysterium bleiben.

Book arrived a little late due to Easter Bank Holiday! I am a big Frasier fan and this book was everything expected and more! Great read! Great recipes! But just loved the phrases by Niles and Frasier taken from the series! Love the book will do the recipes! and the book will sit proudly on my coffee table for all to read!
