Great and easy to install
Allowed my Kia rio to survive the 20inch snow blizzard that happened. Would’ve gotten stuck a number of times without these. Very easy to install took me 2minutes to get both hooked on.

16 Years of Use.
Purchased Jan 31, 2010 $90 here on amazon. Use on Toyota Highlander. So for 16 years been using these when we get ice on our back road. We are last road to be cleared. Our driveway is 300 feet and up/down hill. Over years maybe used 20+ times. Safely get out to main road where less than 5 miniutes take them off and run cleared roads. Through them in car when visiting family in VA during winter. Feb 2026 Snow ice out back of Greensborough NC. Need to use to get to other home for leaking water pipe. Still work like the day I purchased them. They got a good work out on local roads and highway. Easy to put on and off.

The product works well when it is the right size for your tire.
Nutshell. Don't expect you can fit it back into the box it came in. The recommended size may not be the best. I've used Z Super cable chains on my previous car with no issues. Obviously those won't fit the newer car. My True Contact Continental tires are 225/60/16. The chart points to the SZ339. That is what was delivered. I put them on in dry conditions before the storm. TOO EASY. SEEMS A LOOSE FIT. I expected a tighter fit. Took it for a dry drive to let them settle in. Good ride for cable chains. During the storm. I should have drove out before it got 4 inches of stuff to break in the surface. I waited until it was over. 7 inches of snow with mostly sleet mixed on top was too much for the chains. I have experience with snow and sleet driving. This was a maybe. Just to get out of the driveway to the plowed street. I was making progress, THEN THE CHAINS WORKED OFF. The chains did not break. Neighbors came to help. I put the chains back on. Made my run to the store and back. Going to need them in the well below freezing in the morning. Even though it's a thin ice on the road. Good product. Just need to get the right size.

Great Product
This product performed flawlessly. I bought them for Mom's Lincoln Town car which is the worst handling winter vehicle ever made IMO. Along with those touring tires,( really smooth ride, no tread whatsoever) makes this car almost impossible to drive in the winter. So 9 1/2 in of snow is expected, I order these cables. Having never used these I wasn't sure about them. So they arrived early and I get them on, which was super easy. I had them on both back tires,(only ordered one set for the drive wheels) in less than 3 min. I will say get a pair of heavy duty kitchen dishwashing gloves and keep them with the cables because you will get dirty removing them. I was amazed at how well this car drove with those on. It tells you these can also handle bare road at no more than 30 mph and that is true. I drove about 5 miles on pavement with no problem at all, and no damage to the cables. I would highly recommend these to anyone thinking about cables/chains as an option for winter driving.

Fit our 2017 Prius perfectly and made driving in the snow so much better.
They are easier and faster to install than other brands since they are split on one side. Watch the videos a few times and practice once or twice so you know how much to turn the wheels to get access to the back of the tire. Make sure to bring some gloves and a towel or rug to put down or your knees will be wet by the time you get the second one installed if you are doing it in the snow like we did. The rubber tensioners are great and I stopped several times to check the install and we had no problems driving at 25 - 30 mph up hill. They also help grip the snow really well and make braking and stopping better as they help move snow around to get good grip. They were so easy to take off at night on the side of the road. You will have to rinse and oil them when you get home. They need to be rolled up tight and bent around to get back in their carry case.

Had a horrible experience
Used these snow chains on my 2011 Sienna -- and the result was simply disastrous. First, the installation instructions were very unclear. If you've got these chains, try your best to understand the instructions and follow them to the letter! Every small detail is important and is hard to grasp from the way the instructions describe the installation process. If you deviate you will end up, like me, spending good 15 mins hugging the dirty tire pretty tight trying to stretch the chain over it and/or trying to grasp the clasp behind the tire. Perhaps I am just an idiot who can't read instructions. Maybe. But finally I installed the chains, tightened them up with the rubber as shown, and drove from the ski resort to the town downhill. Oh mine, did those chains rattle! (both the chains themselves and -- what did the designer think putting those decorative plastic tubies on the wires??? That they will stay put during the ride? Yeah right) What's worse, the chains were sliding back and force along the tire! My Sienna kept complaining it was on a slippery road even when I was driving on the snow-free asphalt! On the ice/snow, the snow chains did work somewhat and improved traction... somewhat. Making the driving still feel very unstable. No, these flimsy things are no comparison to the sturdy show chains I used in the past! Once I left the ski resort I took the snow chains off and tossed them into the nearest trash bin. Don't buy these chains, they are a complete waste of money!!

having never used snow chains before they were simple to put on and take off (after watching the 90 sec youtube video) and were extremely effective.

Easy to install when needed. Could not get up a slushy hill in Vancouver BC and strapped these on and got home after New Years Eve dinner party. I have good snow tires but it wasn't enough. These provide very good traction in deeper snow and excellent traction in compacted snow. Speed limit with chains on is 50 KM's per hour. Good to have in your trunk when needed! I've put them on twice and can now install in 5 minutes. Pack gloves and use your car matts to kneel on when installing so you don't wet your knees. Also pack a flashlight!

The chain intrudes below the bottom of the tyre on the inside and would clash with car hardware. Therefore useless for my vehicle even though I got the appropriate size for my 245/45 R19 tyres. Pity as the design is good otherwise

These are the best and easiest chains to use. I have gone up hills that are covered with ice and made it! It takes a bit of practice ( before you actually need them ) to put on but once you know it's fairly easy. watch a few youtube videos and try at home on a nice sunny day. Saved the day heading to the ski hill with my kids when traffic stopped and I was spinning on ice. put these on and away we went. Every woman ( and man ) should know how to use.
